That Chelsea needs to play better defense as a team. Spain won the World Cup with a below average goalkeeper. Spain only allowed 1 goal throughout the tournament, and their goalkeeper didn't have a single save during the Championship game vs Argentina. Spain as a team was able to keep Argentina, with Messi and Enzo Fernandez, without a shot on goal.

I didnt expect him not to play a long one rather than playing from the back because that requires practices and he had hardly practised with them when he was thrown into the furnace!

When he concedes, his head doesn’t drop. The body language is still good. Sanchez makes an error in a game and looks beaten, rarely ever recovers.

He just exudes confidence and experience. He made some good saves and i don't think can be blamed for any of the goals. Get the defense sorted and we could be in for a wonderful season

A defence would be a good way of winning the league, as the two games we have played shows how short we are, a better team than Brighton could have won yesterday despite being 3-0 down, there doesn't seem to be any cover for the three central defenders and decent teams will not be so wasteful

The coach should change the backline defence formation of 3 defenders to 4 & also upgrade the midfield formation like 1-4-4-2, 1-4-5-1

Whilst it's concerning he conceded 3 he commanded his box well and wasn't at fault for at least one of the goals. Solid start. He hates conceding so he'll work to tighten up our defence.

I thought he did well to say he’s only been with the team for 24/48 hrs. A world class keeper who’s probably seen his best days but God, what an improvement on Sanchez? A decent first outing!

Must confess Martinez always ground my gears with the antics side of his character. But also because he stopped so many odds on, good shots ! So let's look forward. Today he let 3 in but I liked he was being vocal with the rest of the team already, and also confident enough to gee the support up from the off. The defence and him need to gel and quickly too.

They won’t win the Premier League, wide open even with a good keeper. But they’ll be entertaining and provide plenty of drama. That front 3 as good as anything in the league too.

You really think Chelsea can win the Premiership this season ? They are the new entertainers, but are leaking too many goals to be in with a serious chance of winning the league. I think that Martinez may make the difference for a top 4/5 slot, though.

Really loved how he got the crowd behind us when we were holding on. Some important saves too. A definite upgrade and our best chance of closing the gap to Arsenal
