The Enzo Fernandez saga is over! What do you make of this deal?
A big fee, but not much time to get something done ourselves...
dfrenchman2w ago
Good for business ! we obviously had to cash in somewhere. Cant satisfy everyone. Bought players like Morgen to keep the fans happy. No point in finding a replacement so quick after such a huge profit. So we have to be happy with the sub-par defenders we have. Its a win win situation for fans, club and Blueco. Its all part of the narrative. marquee signings
badger.prodder2w ago
To be honest, the SD's are buying 10-15 players each window and moving the same amount on. Yes one or two could be 'marquee', but just like governments they are used to hide bad news. Every player since the takeover 'is the next best thing'. Then are just deemed as profit. Estevao is the next one off the rank
jamesgmcmurray3w ago
It is a good thing he went to city it's like teacher pet when they walked out on Chelsea when it gets tough they will walk out on city
camerondesc13w ago
Insanely overpriced. But I suppose that is the state of the market these days

"Listen, I’ve figured out the ultimate name for our new front four of João Pedro, Palmer, Neto, and Rogers: JOPANERO! 🌶️⚡It’s absolutely perfect. Neto and Rogers pepper the opponent's eyes with blinding pace, Palmer leaves their minds in a deep sleep from all the confusion, and João Pedro finishes them off. 😄 Pure tactical spice. From "Habanero" 😂
biggercreations4w ago
Good riddance to bad rubbish. Fofana should follow even if it is on LOAN. He is not a forward play thinking player, he is the king of backpass in the Chelsea fc squard.
oppletters4w ago
Josh is gradually popping up on! Time will tell
philchristie19554w ago
Good money for an average player
sucinahooks4w ago
First player ever to command two transfers over 100 million, now British record transfer fee, a player John Terry recently referred to as world class and you think he's average. Don't give up your day job!
gary077734w ago
Good money for the club,he didn't wanna be here, bye bye
peter.lynch4w ago
Crazy money, good work from Chelsea imo
tony.g.moore4w ago
Glad to see the overly tattooed Argie wanker depart!
quadriolori4w ago
I'm sincerely happy that Enzo has left the best world club champions. And I believe that we're going to be more careful in the future not to sign semi illiterate and racist players.
neilcouzens19564w ago
Whoever got 125million for Enzo deserves a medal ,good one .
maw64604w ago
I am glad we got the money for Enzo but a was a little disapointed we didnt get a replacement but can you really name 1 player we got from them who was any good . Bakajoko badoshite falcow disas- ter and pe tit my god we dodged a bullit

Here is where talents are unveiled among young players! 🙏

Sorry - cannot agree. You say that we should ignore Monaco in future dealings. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Not a smart biz decision.
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Any player we have bought from monaco have turned out to be bags of you know what, they need our money more than we need their pony playerz
creativekaddychrist4w ago
...IT WAS GOOD MONEY BROUGHT IN AND SMART TO HAVE KEPT IT TO THE LAST MINUTE...BUT WE IGNORED THE FACT: FERNANDES HAD LEFT US LONG AGO AND WE SHOULD HAVE HAD KONE OR CAMARA IN BEFORE DAEDLINE DAY
srsbrgh4w ago
Glad he's gone, but 5 sporting director's in place have known since end of season he wanted to leave and yet 48 hour's before the window closes we are struggling to get a midfield player in, bring the kid back from Wigan
cristiannnica4w ago
Voluntarily gave up any chance of winning the title. Arsenal and City have strong squads, Man U and Liverpool have the refs and Chelsea has the "clever" boys that don't like Enzo Fernandez. Chelsea are now more than ever a selling club. And everyone knows selling clubs don't win titles.
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Maybe to keep the price of the clubs worth down, for when he buys boehly out!!
sucinahooks4w ago
Agree, Enzo has gone and so have our chances of winning the title. The boo boys were happy to replace him with a player that until a few days ago no one had heard of, we dodged a bullet there, now let's hope we can find another world class midfielder.
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Im so glad balogun refused everton as that now means monaco have shot themselves in the foot, couldnt happen to a more shoddy slapstick club and i hope they go bankrupt
caleb.sage4w ago
Every Monaco defeat, WE WILL BE THERE! This is going to be a generational hate watch!
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Monaco have reneged on the deal because pony everton decided to buy an injured player what morons
jamesshearman234w ago
£125m is an outstanding deal. I liked Enzo but he’s not worth that. And it looks like we’ve got a replacement now. Happy days!
woodglade12ds4w ago
Is it over? No-one agreed to come in yet and nothing signed, I thought.
gadarome4w ago
These big names are bought heavily and do practically nothing commensurate with their monetary worth!. Wasn’t Enzo with Chelsea in 2024/25 & 2025/26 seasons?. What did Chelsea really achieve, aside from the Club World Cup: which many other great players worked very hard to win?. Enzo didn’t really pay Chelsea on the pitch for all his wages/worth. Enzo, gooo!
blueboom12304w ago
Blue 🔵 can we please focus on the season now? Thanks
ronniemcmahon664w ago
The seasons ruined,we got no midfield, useless yanks dont know how to run a club, just money is their interest
rob3110574w ago
Glad to see him gone made some good money use it wisely
tymontwumi4w ago
Enzo should leave to fulfill his "dream". There's no point holding on to a player that doesn't want to stay. Chelsea is bigger than anyone and no one could hold Chelsea to any ransom. We just have to replace with someone with better qualities and better pros like we always do
sucinahooks4w ago
Agree, Enzo wants to play for Real Madrid like most South A ericans , and probably will in the future. It fell through he got over it but unfortunately some so called Chelsea fans did'nt, City is just an escape from the boo boys.
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Then why have we let city ruin our last two seasons
gary077734w ago
Glad to get rid,if he dont wanna be at Chelsea,#### off
gary077734w ago
Oh your an argie why reply when your biased
sucinahooks4w ago
Would you want to play for a team where the so called fans boo you.
dfrenchman4w ago
Enzo is gone. lets focus on the season ahead. One thing City should remember is that Enzo will always be reminiscing about Madrid and Spain. He betrayed Chelsea. He can do it to City. But hey, we got a refund. That should count for something.
badger.prodder4w ago
Unfortunately this is what happens when ego's collide. Am I sorry to see him gone no. City have paid over the odds, for a gifted player, who would rather play for his nation than his club and is a legend in only his and his agent's head. Now their ego's and Maresca have solved a disciplinary and possibly an injury problem. Result
ackie764w ago
Lad up in Scotland who played for Belgium in world cup forgets his name but buy for about 20 million plenty left over
ackie764w ago
Sell I'm sure management have scouted possible replacements if not they should have this has been on the cards for long enough
ronniemcmahon664w ago
Dont sell ,city ruined our season last year so lets have a bit of payback, judas will get over it once the window shuts tonight
charlieb4w ago
No point in keeping a player who wants to play for somebody else. Not a team man young and arrogant what is the point of a contract if these players can behave like spoilt children an d get what they want all the time. Good deal by our management is my verdict.

No let Enzo leave coz its too much. If you was watched where James is playing with Him . There's a big pride in him let him go
patrickwalton844w ago
By replace with Martin zubmendi to replacement Enzo Fernandez
patrickwalton844w ago
I agree with the deal today for Enzo Fernandez on deadline day
caleb.sage4w ago
We’re not even going to sign a replacement. Terrible planning!
nickhill474w ago
Can make a player stay when it's obvious he wants away. Should have done this at the beginning of the window but I think city have done it on purpose to weaken chelsea and make it almost impossible to bring the right player in
will.butcher4w ago
Should’ve been done ages ago but imagine keeping him, would’ve been toxic. Well done Chels getting a brilliant fee, time to get Camara in and be done with it
freddie4w ago
Should have sold weeks ago yes but deffo good money for him, glad that ego is out
jackdrury4w ago
Think we’ve shot ourselves in the foot here. Could’ve had this done weeks ago and had time to sign a proper replacement
