A late defeat away at Wolves for Sheffield United 😡 Thoughts?!
markmarston21d ago
Wolves away is one of the toughest fixtures you can have this season. Blades won’t be defined by these results…

Victory for Sheffield United as they defeat Blackburn at Ewood Park! Immediate reaction Blades fans? ⚔️
lee.connor26d ago
Winning without playing well and still finding a way. Note that last season it took us 14 games to reach the same point. We’ll lose games but we’ll surprise a few too. Phillips different class at this level too.
chillout26d ago
Good result tonight. Pleased for the club and the manager. I still think Wilder could do the biz again.

Sheffield United lose at home to Norwich. What do you make of this start to the season? 🤔
lee.connor28d ago
The transfer window wasn’t ideal but I think Wilder is getting it wrong. The formation he’s choosing isn’t working. Needs to go back to 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 and give the defenders some more protection as they aren’t good enough. Tanganga is abysmal for the captain and a supposed £8m signing.

Blades fans...who do you think is the mystery forward Chris Wilder is talking about here?
jordan.harris30d ago
Saw Benzema lurking around Bramall Lane
charlesjones30d ago
Jamie Vardy was a secret blade all along? Who knew

Sheffield grab their first win of the season right at the death! React to that CRACKER of a game 👇
markmarston31d ago
Loved that Wilder celebration!! Passion😍
eoin33d ago
What a Game. No stop action, sheffield should feel somewhat Lucky
Callum O'Hare to Wrexham? Will the protests start if the owners sanction this one?
lee.connor35d ago
We can’t sell O’Hare at this stage. We aren’t replacing him with anything better this late in the window. Unless they pay silly money like £15m.
Chris Wilder wants new faces...how many do United need before the deadline?
lee.connor36d ago
We need a minimum of 2. We need something in the final third and tbh, if someone gave us good money for Peck and we could sign a new midfielder who can score goals I’d take it all day long.

Sheffield United settle for a point on the road after an entertatining first half. Give us your reaction to that...
lee.connor36d ago
It was a great point considering we didn’t really turn up and were battered second half. A point away never to be sniffed at. And remarkably, unbeaten and a win could send us top six lol
callum_boyle36d ago
Sort of games Blades should be winning. Midtable feels inevitable
BBD IS BACK! Thoughts on this transfer? 👀
freddie37d ago
Not the same player he was but still potential!

Harry Souttar looks like he is heading to Wrexham. How do you feel about him joining a league rival?
lee.connor39d ago
Not that fussed if the price being paid is to be believed to be honest. I’d rather we spend what we do have on attacking position.
callum_boyle39d ago
This is a rough, rough summer for you lot
Sheffield United are through to round three! Who do you want to face next?
freddie40d ago
Wednesday… oh wait 🤣 - another low Champ side will do

Two games, two draws, zero goals. What have you made of Sheffield United's start to the season? 🤔
dantowen8195143d ago
Underwhelming! The lack of Gus Hamer probably showing up here
callum_boyle43d ago
You guys desperately need a new striker
Would Sheffield United survive the Championship if they receive this 12-point deduction? 😯
eoin47d ago
This would be ridiculous. Rules be damned, derailing an entire season over a billionaire row... Still think they stay Up but wouldnt have a hope of promotion
One point on the opening day, but where do you think we will finish this season? Do you agree with our predictions? 👀
dakir.thanveer48d ago
"Dread it, run from it, destiny still arrives" - Chris Wilder come end of season after pulling the Blades to promotion with a one-legged Bamford and injury-struck Kalvin Phillips
lee.connor48d ago
Losing Brooks is no issue he’s bang average and Donovan will contribute the same. Hamer is the one to replace but almost impossible. Wilder is at his best with a tight budget and backs to the wall. We’ll be around the top 10 but we have to sign a defender and we need another goal threat other than Bamford.
tom.procter48d ago
Rate Wilder but play-offs could be beyond them. Losing Brooks and especially Hamer are big blows
Could Anel Ahmedhodzic be on his way back? How would you react if he does return? 🙏

Harry Souttar looks like he will be returning to Sheffield United permanently in a £10m deal! How important will he be to the Blades' promotion hopes?
leeclarke050854d ago
Steady player but does he transform them into top 6 contenders? I'm not sure.
callum_boyle54d ago
Wish we could keep him but he was always gonna go there after the way we’ve treated him. Mind you, £10m is a lot to spend when I can’t imagine they have millions to play with
Sheffield United have a fully fit Kalvin Phillips for the season — who makes way in midfield?
george.patten54d ago
There’s a quality player in there - Not sure we will see it this year tho
lee.connor54d ago
We have 5 decent midfielders now. Still think there’s a chance we sell Peck. Still, would leave us with Arblaster, Riedewald, Phillips and Rothwell, with O’Hare in the 10. Not bad for a Championship side that.
seanfisher54d ago
You have to wonder just how much regret he has about leaving Leeds… he’d be a concrete club legend by now if he stayed put

Job done and Sheffield United are into the next round of the Carabao Cup✅ What is the biggest positive to take from that victory?
markmarston55d ago
Maybe McGuinness adds another £1m on to his price tag!
Very little transfer activity... are you worried Sheffield United fans? 😬
dantowen8195161d ago
They won’t get relegated I don’t think but if Peck goes without a readymade replacement, then I’d be worried
Coventry are in talks to sign Sheffield United's Gustavo Hamer... how much would you sell him for? 💰
lee.connor66d ago
Anything around £12m and he goes. He is a match winner but our fans are bizarre. On one hand, they says he’s overweight and all this rubbish, then next minute he’s linked with a move and suddenly we are going down without him. We can’t afford to lose him for nothing, so take what we can and reinvest.

markmarston67d ago
Year left on his deal… be lucky to get £15m unfortunately
Sheffield United are close to re-signing Kalvin Phillips... thoughts Blades? 🤔
dantowen8195167d ago
I saw him do a Q&A at Elland Road this summer. Imagine his expression when a certain Chris wilder-themed chant started up
markmarston67d ago
Fed up of these type of signing at Blades… Wilder needs to freshen up this team with more youth
Sheffield United are in talks to sign Harry Souttar... what's the max we should pay? 🤔

Good win for Sheffield United vs Huddersfield Town on Tuesday... who stood out most? ⚔️
markmarston70d ago
Been hearing lots of Blades fans tipping Chong to have a great season…
gorriejonathan74d ago
Chong’s goal looked decent! Hard to get carried away though 🤣
Sheffield United sign Matt Doherty after his Wolves exit... not sure on this tbh 😬
chillout75d ago
I think this will be an interesting year for Sheffield United and Wilder. I’m still not sure where they will end up at the end of next season. They have to be challenging for promotion. I’d like to see them and Wilder do well, but the Championship is going to be very very hard to get out of.
kyle.dimond75d ago
Could be one that contributes more than we’ll ever know behind the scenes but genuinely didn’t know he was still playing 😂😂 screams Sheffield signing though
lee.connor76d ago
It’s the sort of signing we needed tbh. Wilder speaks of ‘Culture Carriers’ a lot and we lost a load at the start of last season - McBurnie, Egan, Fleck, etc. Doherty will be good for the squad and good for Femi Seriki too. Experience and versatility can’t be underestimated at Championship level. We can’t all afford to spend £35m on random teenagers.
Looks like Seamus Coleman may be joining Sheffield United on a free... good signing for Wilder? 🤔
james.brooke87d ago
Terrible signing if it happens
jameslloyd14.jl87d ago
Incredible leader. Don’t mind it

markmarston87d ago
I’m really torn on this one… his injury record isn’t great but is Wilder just bringing him in to be a good voice in the dressing room ?
Sheffield United have announced the signing of Romelle Donovan... give us your immediate reaction Blades ⚔️
dantowen8195188d ago
I like this. Whether he can emulate what Brooks did last season is another matter, but I like the approach of going for youth
jonny88d ago
Don’t be so quick to write him off, Brentford tend to be good judges of talent and Donovan will be desperate to prove himself. Worth a go and if he plays a lot it will entice clubs in the Premier League to send loan players there in the future.
leeconnor88d ago
We need loans as we’re financially crippled again. We’re down £37m due to no parachutes, new owners don’t seem too fussed either on making big investments. He is a replacement for Brooks who we’ve just got £10m for but I’ve never heard of him so time will tell I guess. Wilder can be quite harsh with the young lads and he wanted experience, so 🤷♂️
Here’s some random interesting Stats & Facts about Sheffield United:
chillout92d ago
Sheffield United was the very first sports club in world history to use the suffix ‘United’ on founding in 1889. Bramall Lane, opened as a cricket ground in 1855, is the oldest major stadium in the world that still hosts professional football. In 1878, Sheffield United made global history by hosting the world’s first-ever floodlit football match.
Sheffield United's fixtures are out! What’s your take on the first five games? 🤔

Automatic promotion is surely out of the question for Sheffield United next season, as the club faces financial constraints and a sizeable squad overhaul in the summer. But they have to be in the mix for the 6 club play-offs. Is this where Chris Wilder can step up and make the difference ? He has his doubters, but is now his chance to prove them wrong ?
kyle.dimond117d ago
Yeah I think they’ll be in the mix but it really depends on how Wolves and West Ham do. If they bounce back, it’s going to be a real battle for those other spots
adam98williams118d ago
Six play-off spots means the Championship is going to be a bit of a casino from next season. Anyone can get in with a good run from March onwards.
leeclarke0508118d ago
Steady season in store for them for certain. O'Hare and Hamer must be kept.
What is our aim for next season?
jordan.harris118d ago
Would be crazy not to be targeting promotion
callum_boyle118d ago
They should be aiming for a play-off spot but they’ll finish 12th. Pretty bang average side but Premier League recency bias makes them look better than they are
dantowen81951122d ago
Has to be top 6. A dreadful start cost the Blades last season, otherwise they’d probably have had half a chance
Out of 10, how bad have Sheffield United's loanees been this season?
callum_boyle118d ago
One emoji to describe them: 🗑️
dantowen81951122d ago
3/10. Forgot most of them were even there to be honest! Barry was such a disappointment, thought he’d explode in the Champ
charlesjones122d ago
7/10. Bindon decent, the rest are pretty dire
