Kylian Mbappe makes it to number 24 on TalkingPoints' 50 best footballers of all time! Is he already this good? š
dantowen8195110h ago
I think so. Weirdly though his trophy record at club level doesnāt really reflect that! No Chanpions League and no La Liga yet

Jarell Quansah is the latest England international to be linked with a move to Real Madrid. Where would he fit into the side?
george.patten2d ago
On the bench⦠Quansah is not a Real Madrid player, not having it

Trent picked up an assist and helped England keep a clean sheet against Czechia⦠why do you think Mourinho prefers Dumfries!? š¬
Surely he's too good to sit on the bench?
eoin4d ago
Because Dumfries is a better defender. Im not sure Mourinho Will have the patience to make Trent work

Zinedine Zidane has warned Real Madrid that Kylian Mbappe's injury suffered during France vs Turkey is looking like a bad one šÆ How do you think Jose Mourinho will react to potentially losing a star player to injury weeks before El Clasico
kilham.max7d ago
Can't imagine he'll be very happy! This is the price of too much football! The game is becoming incredibly over-saturated ā anticipation is key to excitement in sports and football has little nowadays!
jackgallagher7d ago
Looking forward to the next Madrid press conference!
adnan.riaz7d ago
Sums up international fixtures. Get rid of them. This happens every time.

Derby day defeat as Real Madrid lose to Atletico š” What went wrong and why?!
peter.lynch14d ago
Wow, wasnāt expecting this one. Poor from Real but gotta give full credit to Atleti, played it the right way
chillout14d ago
Jose implosion coming ?
♥ 2
jonathan.gorrie14d ago
Bellingham looked like the only one who cared!

Fede Valverde made his 250th La Liga appearance for Real Madrid against Elche. How would you rate his time at the Bernabeu?
eoin19d ago
The ultimate utility player. A team of 11 valverdes would be unplayable
♥ 1
callum_boyle19d ago
I think he goes under the radar somewhat. Kroos, Modric and others have all rightfully been given their flowers but Valverde has been a stalwart for some time. Heās 28 too so still has a few years left at the top
Real Madrid beat Rayo Vallecano 4-1 š What stood out for you?!
peter.lynch22d ago
Mbappe being a goal machine again ā½ļø but just Bellingham too, unbelievable footballer and a joy to watch
jonathan.gorrie22d ago
Area Guler was class! Some finish from Jude too

Back to winning ways š What did you make of Real Madrid in their 2-1 win over Inter?
peter.lynch26d ago
Even when not at their best, you can never rule out Madrid. Theyāll be there come the business end, absolutely zero doubt in my mind
majeedlytle26d ago
Halla Madrid..ššš
daviescallum4226d ago
Classic Jose, you love to see it. Wont have enough to go for the title tho I think

Betis BEAT Real Madrid 1-0! Thoughts on Jose Mourinho's first loss since his return?! š¤
lrandall121029d ago
Heās been on a slow decline. Although Real Madrid seem to have loads of good players who donāt play well together
dantowen8195130d ago
Defeats can happen. Real Madrid will win most games playing like this, mbappe had a nightmare, Alex Valle was in sensational form, donāt think thereās too much to worry about
josh.barker30d ago
CL is always more important for Madrid tbf, see how they get on next week

Jude Bellingham is loving life under Jose Mourinho - how many goals will he score this season?
He notched a superb solo goal to open the scoring in Madrid's 4-0 win vs Malaga š„
eoin35d ago
He looks back to his very best, could easily pass 20 if he stays in this sdvanced role

The Champions League is back! Which league phase opponent is catching your eye? š
jameslloyd14.jl38d ago
That Alvarez winner at the Emirates⦠wow

Kylian Mbappe was on fire for Real Madrid in Jose Mourinho's first home game in charge, bagging a hat trick š„ How many goals will he score this season?
jonny39d ago
Jose will get Mbappe the Ballon dāOr next year
james.brooke39d ago
Heās somehow still underrated as a pure goal scorer. Will easily get 40 all comps, should be aiming for 50-60
jonathan.gorrie39d ago
50, but no UCL.
Does Vinicius Jr get unfairly treated by 'bullying' fans? Joe Mourinho thinks so...
eoin42d ago
I like the effort to protect his player, and vini definitely gets abuse, but he doesnt help himself either... And the idea that its only him who IS targeted is ridiculous. Yamal is subject to more abuse

Debut delight as Carlos Espi sealed three points for Real Madrid š What did you make of Jose Mourinho's first La Liga game in charge since 2013?
jonathan.gorrie43d ago
Guler was great, Espi looks a handful. Worried about Fede as a DM.

How does Jose Mourinho create the perfect system to get the best out of Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr?
callum_boyle45d ago
The only way I can think is in some sort of narrower formation. Vini and Mbappe as your two strikers and Bellingham just behind in the 10. Bellingham is the easiest one to solve as he isnāt a left winger but both Mbappe and Vinicius want that spot. Add in Joseās ego and this could just be a disaster
Jose Mourinho's first words as Real Madrid manager š£ļø Give us your predictions for The Special One's first season back at the Bernabeu š
dancoombs47d ago
Carnage. Missing out to Barcelona to Rodri is going to play on Joseās mind all season
dantowen8195147d ago
Second place again. God knows how Diomande copes with the scrutiny, I love the signing of Carlos Espi though. Just think Mourinhoās tactics are too outdated. I wouldnāt be surprised to see Jose mastermind a win over Barcelona before dropping points at Alaves, Osasuna, Elche etc
eoin47d ago
It hasnt been pretty the last couple of seasons, but this has been a superb Window. I actually think wining La Liga should be the priority for this season. A barca threepeat would be inaceptable. Excited to see diomande in action, and think one of the league or the UCL is on the table if he can get It right

Real Madrid see their team as COMPLETE! What are your expectations for them with this side? š³
Their squad is stackedā¦
eoin47d ago
Mad talent in this Squad
dantowen8195152d ago
It looks good on paper but thereās still a lot of question marks for me. Huijsen, and Trent need to prove themselves, and I have massive, massive doubts about Mourinho Jose in 2026 is unfortunately entering late-stage Steven Seagal territory
jamesshearman2352d ago
Love Mourinho but heās washed. Theyāll finish 2nd and exit CL in SFs

What went wrong for Eduardo Camavinga last season at Real Madrid? Should he be given another chance under Jose Mourinho?
Heās still only 23ā¦
james.brooke52d ago
If youāre Madrid I donāt see why youād sell him, if youāre Cama I donāt see why youād stay
dantowen8195155d ago
Heās a victim of his own versatility I think. Needs a full season where he plays in midfield all the time. Although I canāt see it happening next season either
freddie55d ago
I donāt think heās been given a chance tbh. If I were him Iād go, but think Jose might like him!

Jose Mourinho has gone in on Bernardo Silva š³ How do you feel about his brutally honest comments?
Some fans like it, others can see trouble brewing...
dantowen8195155d ago
Hahah If heās gonna have a pop at someone, have a pop at the veterans and not the kids
leeclarke050857d ago
Here we go. Never shy in saying what he thinks is he Mourinho š
jonathan.gorrie57d ago
Well, Madrid fans were calling for someone to come in and deliver hard truths. Canāt moan when they actually do it
NEW CONTRACT AGREED šš Let us know how you feel about the news Vini is set to stay
Sorry Arsenal šš
freddie58d ago
Arsenal being used is so jokes! They really thought they were gonna get him š
jonny59d ago
United fans are used to this, welcome to the club Arsenal

jonathan.gorrie59d ago
Arsenal got used here. What a frontline now theyāve signed Diomande too
How do you feel about Real Madrid seemingly walk away from a deal to sign Rodri? š
dancoombs59d ago
Jose is going to be furious now he has landed at Barcelona. The meltdown hasnāt officially begun yet - but when it does, this will be the moment they point back to
charlesjones59d ago
Whoever gets Rodri wins the CL. Simple as that I think
jamesshearman2359d ago
Terrible if he goes to Barcelona instead!
ā¬140m for a 19-year-old 𫨠What does Yan Diomande have to deliver at Real Madrid?
jonny59d ago
He needs to help win them the Champions League, put up Ronaldo numbers and become an icon. Anything less for that money and he hasnāt delivered. Not confident he will given how big money signings donāt tend to do well, but Madrid usually get it right
dantowen8195160d ago
Heās gonna be under immediate pressure to get 20 goals and 15 assists. The Real fans wonāt accept any settling in period
jamesshearman2360d ago
This is a ridiculous move unless Vini Jr is leaving. Too many chefs in the kitchen
Jose Mourinho deployed Trent Alexander-Arnold as a midfielder in Real Madrid's pre-season game against Fiorentina. What do you think his best position is and why?
freddie61d ago
Right back, heās the best of the best.
jamesshearman2361d ago
His best position is right-back but Mourinho of all managers will be frustrated with his defending
david.comerford61d ago
Trent turns 28 in October. The time for experimenting is over until he's 35 and slow
♥ 1
What did you LIKE and DISLIKE about the 2-2 draw with Fiorentina?!
jonathan.gorrie64d ago
I liked Endrick but Camavinga really isnāt cutting it
Carlos Espi is a Madridista and Jose Mourinho keeps getting what he wants šŖ How are you feeling about the new-look squad? š
dantowen8195165d ago
I do like Espi. Heās certainly something different - a physical no 9, great in the air, and a brilliant presser I could see Mbappe combining with him well, given his back to goal potential
martin.crawford65d ago
Getting Espi for ā¬25m and selling Garcia for Fulham to ā¬40m looks like amazing business, seemingly handed on a plate to Real
james.brooke66d ago
Espi will be just another Mariano Diaz, will barely play and spend the next 5 years of his career jumping between loans. Terrible move for him
Endrick is BACK at Real Madrid! How should Jose Mourinho utilize the Brazilian this season or should he be moved on in the transfer window?
dantowen8195165d ago
He looked really really good at times during his Lyon spell. My worry though is thereās just not enough minutes available for him at Real I feel another loan move - preferably to the Prem - suits real best
james.brooke66d ago
He shouldnāt be moved on but itās hard to see how he gets enough game time. A loan might work
jamie.brown8268d ago
I donāt think heās ready to play for RM! Iād like to see him get another loan, hopefully to La Liga or maybe a Premier League club?? šš§š·
Where does RVN rank among Los Blancos' best strikers this century? āŖ
tom.procter68d ago
One of the best penalty box poachers ever, but not better than CR7, Benzema, Raul, Ronaldo, Mbappe or Higuain
dantowen8195168d ago
Lacks the longevity and trophy haul of Benzema obviously, but probably deserves to sit alongside Higuain
callum_boyle69d ago
In the top 10 for sure. Wouldnāt have him above the likes of Benzema, Raul etc but not sure where Iād exactly place him
Is there room for Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr? How should Jose Mourinho set up Real Madrid's attack next season?
dantowen8195168d ago
It doesnāt seem like it, no. If you just use Mbappe as a no9 and donāt let him drift, youāre wasting so much of his talents. And Viniās end product has been questionable to say the least for a while now anyway
jameslloyd14.jl70d ago
I think weāve already seen that no, it canāt. I donāt think you can build teams with two luxury stars who donāt reliably defend in 2026. Think there has to be a sacrifice (please get it done Mr Berta)
markmarston70d ago
Yeah would sell Vini Jr if heās not signing a new deal. Diomande coming in anyway
What will signing Rodri from Manchester City mean for Real Madrid and manager Jose Mourinho? How important is it for Real to sign a player well versed in controlling the tempo of games ?
leeclarke050871d ago
City losing a diamond. This could end in tears.
kyle.dimond71d ago
Itās as good a signing as you can possibly make for Real. Suppose there might be a question of whether the World Cup form continues and if injuries will come back around but itās so worth that risk. Cheat code player
jamie.brown8271d ago
Madrid NEED a leader and balance in their team. They have all the big names, but missing balance and someone to guide them. Rodri WOULD be that player. He would be a transformational signing, imo!

Madrid have had a bid worth up to ā¬100m rejected for Diomande! How high should they go, and does he even get into the team? š¬
dantowen8195168d ago
Haha one year ago, he left Leganes for just ā¬20m. Leganes is about 25 miles down the road from Madrid
jamie.brown8271d ago
Where on earth do these clubs get these values from??? Heās an elite talent, but Ā£87M??? Do me a favour!
dale.odonnell72d ago
Real Madrid buying players so no-one else can have them at this rate.
Real Madrid's new away kit is out! What are your thoughts? š
tom.procter73d ago
Corrr thatās a beauty

dale.odonnell74d ago
Nice design, love the neck.
freddie74d ago
Kit of the summer so far for me! š
āŖ What does Jose Mourinho need to do to get the best out of Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid?
dale.odonnell74d ago
Match made in heaven? š
freddie75d ago
Not a lot we heās already brilliant, even last season. Needs those around him to step up
amirmir76d ago
Show him what PSG have done since he left them.
Jose Mourinho's backroom staff has been confirmed! What's the first thing they need to work on at Real Madrid?
freddie86d ago
Let Vini know who is boss and that it isnāt his team⦠needs a good reality check
chillout86d ago
Winning a trophy would be good.
james.brooke86d ago
Get Khedira straight in the midfield
Hereās some random interesting stats & facts about Real Madrid:
chillout91d ago
FIFA named Real Madrid āClub of the Centuryā in 2000. The club won the first 5 European Cups from 1955, and were the first team to win the rebranded Champions League in 1998. In 1931-32, Real Madrid became the first team to win La Liga undefeated, and they are the only club to have won 5 consecutive La Liga titles twice.
Bernardo Silva has officially signed! What's your ideal midfield for next season? I'm struggling to work out a balanced one to be honest! So many attacking midfielders on the books
kyle.dimond108d ago
Heās obviously a great signing for them but I struggle to work it out as well. I feel like Jude and Valverde already do similar things to Bernardoās best attributes. Jose will love his work rate though
dantowen81951109d ago
I wonder if Real could use Bernardo and Valverde as the eights either side of Tchouemeni and Bellingham in a diamond?
adam98williams109d ago
Perez the free agent maestros strike again. Think Silva at this stage in his career will be happy to rotate. They are so stacked in midfield.
Is Marc Cucurella what Real Madrid needed? What do you think of the £52m deal?
peter.lynch110d ago
Theyāve clearly had their struggles at LB, think heāll be a fan favorite in Madrid, certainly knows how to make his presence felt!
dantowen81951110d ago
Great deal. Left-back has been a problem position for a while. Iād be interested to hear from Real fans what this means for Carreras though
freddie111d ago
Great move for Madrid, terrible for Chelsea! Feels like a steal
What do you make of Real Madrid's decision to sign Bernardo Silva? š¤
freddie111d ago
So so good! He works hard, never injured, experienced winning the lot, and is just unbelievable technically
james.brooke114d ago
Doesnāt feel like a very Madrid type signing but could work out. Looks older than he is as well, so could actually still have 4/5 years in him
♥ 1
callum_boyle115d ago
Real Madrid need some wiser heads to keep the mavericks at bay. Losing Carvajal meant they needed to get someone who can manage them. Bernardo will be great at this, although I always thought heād end up at Barcelona
What did everyone make of that ridiculous ā¬150m Julian Alvarez statement!? Imo itās just Florentino Perez proving he bid after his presidential promise. He knew it was never going to happen.
pranav.shahaney116d ago
I quite enjoyed it as a neutral. Love seeing any of the big boys getting bullied even if itās being done by other big boys.
aikansh116d ago
Just inflating Alvarezās price for Barcelona, elite trolling!š
david.comerford116d ago
I've never seen a club make a bid with no intention of signing a player, but it genuinely feels like they're trying to screw Barcelona over. Evil genius behaviour
Mourinho at Madrid - how will it play out ? A triumphant exit from club football, or a meltdown ?
pranav.shahaney116d ago
My interest in La Liga has suddenly increased. Heās going to bring in a lot of casuals and El Clasicos are going to be one of the most-watched games of the season once again. He may be toxic for Real Madrid in the long run, but Iām here to enjoy all the drama that unfolds
aikansh116d ago
The chosen one will become The dumped oneš¬
david.comerford116d ago
Whatever happens, you can guarantee it's going to be box office
