Amad and Baleba!

Just a thought, could this lack of energy/fitness be the aftermath of the world cup, players coming back at different times so all not the same condition ? Also when a player at the club gets injured, they are not out for a week it's months, is there a problem with the medical side of things.

I think that was definitely a factor in that first game vs Hull, we clearly weren’t ready and certain players we had to leave on the bench as they had barely trained. I think as the season goes on it becomes less of an excuse

Baleba 'if' he brings the bite and energy we need. Agree that DL returning to full fitness and form would make a huge difference too. But for the moment, our midfield does not work..

Yeah my only reservation with Baleba is we haven’t seen him yet and we don’t know which version we are going to get, so I’m trying to limit my expectations right away

I think Amad will have the biggest immediate impact but IF he can stay fit and it’s a huge if, Matthijs de Ligt could be massive for our defence between now and the end of the season

I think we needed rid in the summer. If you recall most of our fans were so noisy about Barca wanting to pay less. Maybe we should have accepted it. Would also have saved his significant wages. But would we have had to money to replace him? Mind you, at present there is not much to replace.
