Do you think James Garner could have been a success if he stayed at Manchester United?

Who do you hold responsible for Garner's exit?

Lacey overlooked over the weekend, Amass not getting a sniff, Mainoo nearly sold last season, Mctominay at Napoli, the 'we play youth' ethos is getting diminished every coming season, it's becoming the 'we sell youth far too cheap' ethos 🙄

It is 1 thing to "always have home grown tallent on the bench", but players want games. The reality is that there seems to be a fear of getting it wrong, stopping MC using the likes of Lacey. Sad thing is the "Stars" aren't performing but without penalty. Play bad, start the next match!

They could certainly use him now. As confortable at left back as he is in the six, but dont think he would have got to that level if he stayed

Hind sight Yh, but would he really have been given the opportunity at his age back then?! Probably not!

We could have had a midfield of Garner, Mainoo and McTominay at no cost and it would arguably be better than what we have now. Ten Hag had some blame but I felt Ole was at fault for not going all-in on Garner and sending him on loans when he had already proven he could cope in the Europa League

Hard to say when there’s been more chopping and changing of managers, but Garner is a very good player.

ETH sold Garner for peanuts on deadline day 2022, knowing nothing about him as he was injured over all the pre-season tour. Yes it was shortsighted, but James Garner's own words show it was best for him personally.Just not clever by United

Always said it was a mistake followed by the Alvaro Fernandes one and shows the danger of going on loan at United they'll always find an expensive replacement and sell you to help fund it

barryhhd1w ago

Totally agree, shows how inept we are, we need a left back, so we will get rid of a prospect for peanuts 🫣 who's now a real Madrid first teamer🙄

george.patten1w ago

He had the ability to be successful, but the management would’ve found a way to mess it up no doubt. Could always work his way back if he keeps it up

Murtough and Arnold the original Chuckle Brothers they even let Chelsea sell us Mason Mount for more than the fee they said was as far as they would go to acquire his signature
