← Talk Ipswich

Ipswich are reportedly one to watch in the race to sign Marc Guiu! I'm really not sure about this one... is that fair? 😬

Someone has to take a gamble on him, there's real upside here and can see him doing a similar job to Delap

Think I’d want someone a bit more proven if I was an Ipswich fan but can’t say I’ve seen much of him. Need stability.

jonny2mo ago

Not convinced. Ipswich are on a one way ride back to the Championship

chillout2mo ago

It’s not healthy to see these clubs coming up and going straight back down. I do hope one of the three finds a way to survive.

It’s hard to tell. We’ve barely seen anything of him for the last two years. Ipswich are obviously going big on potential with Emersonn, but god knows if he’ll be able to do what Delap did

callum_boyle2mo ago

They have so many strikers now. They know they can sign players in other areas?

caleb.sage2mo ago

He was pretty clinical for Chelsea in the Conference League, and his work rate is top-notch, really good presser. Ipswich will need more than him to stay up, though.

markmarston2mo ago

That’s good insight mate… maybe you’ve convinced me somewhat. Tbf, he’s only 20 as well. A lot of growth in him for sure

vatsal2mo ago

Potential is there, but I'm not convinced he'll be a miraculous success like Delap was. That one was mainly down to McKenna's coaching. But I guess Ipswich need to go for high risk high reward players and he fits the bill.

markmarston2mo ago

Yeah this just very much feels like a signing a relegated team would make… think they should avoid

markmarston2mo ago

His goal record with Chelsea is actually quite good but I’ve just not been convinced when I watch him. Really wasteful and just looks a bit clumsy. Maybe I’m being too harsh?
