I rate the new manager, and recent signings indicate that the club are going for it. Fans are not deluded and know from the recent past that it’s going be a challenging season - but they will get behind the team and genuinely feel that they are not back in the Premier League just to make up the numbers.

Still find it hard to see them not going down. They’re not Hull but still big concerns

Think they’re still going down. I’d personally be worried with O’Neil after his final days at Wolves.

O'Neil isn't a bad manager but I think Ipswich needed someone better to stay up. Still, after seeing how Sunderland and Leeds did last year, you can't write anyone off

Big challenge for Ipswich but clearly with their summer business they’re gonna give it good crack. I will say though that Gary O’Neil teams concede a lot of goals and rarely keep clean sheets. Being better in this aspect will be pivotal if Ipswich are to stay up

Think they’re a little more battle-hardened than the other promoted sides, and I like Gary O’Neil, but just don’t think they’ve got enough quality or a reliable goalscorer (like DCL for Leeds last year) to keep them up

I like Gary O'Neil but hard to see Ipswich staying up even with all those signings. I mean, which other teams drop down then?

I think if the likes of West Ham can go down, then there are a few teams who can be dragged in to a relegation dog fight - aside from the 3 promoted teams, Sunderland, Fulham and maybe Everton could get pulled in.

I think they’ll make a better fist of it this time around. With so many teams in Europe, they could make up quite a lot of ground in the relegation battle

No one is in the Premier League to 'make up the numbers', but it would be a huge result if any of the three promoted sides manage to stay up.

Some stunning signings this summer and i rate O’Neil highly. Of the promoted teams, they have the best chance of staying up

Over Cov? I can’t see Ipswich staying up tbh. Happy to be proven wrong tho

Agree with you, I think Ipswich have given themselves a great chance

Can’t ask for more than spending £150m can you? I’m not so sure on the manager though.

I hope he does well - but if it doesn’t, he is likely to be slagged off because of his Norwich connections. I understand why McKenna went - who needs more stress; he did his bit by getting them up, but it will be a challenge to keep them there.
