Fair play to Ipswich - in sticking with Kieran McKenn. The team were clearly relegated back to the Championship and got off to a slow start in 25/26 - yet Ipswich stuck with him and he repaid them with an immediate return to the Prem. Well done to the board by bucking the trend and not panicking.

McKenna deserved the backing and he’s quickly shown that.

Fair play indeed but I don’t know whether it would give me much faith in this prem season being any different

They are ran so well aren’t they… Mark Ashton has been superb. I think they have the structure at the club to do a Sunderland. They can’t afford to make the same mistakes in thier recruitment as last time tho. More European players needed… not Champ!

Do they have money to spend ? I guess they had parachute money last term - not sure how much they spent on the squad last season.

Sometimes the best way to do it. Burnley did it with Sean Dyche, Norwich with Daniel Farke - both ended up getting promoted again

Yeah - but increasingly the exception to the rule. Good to see!

Good to see managers getting time, so rare in football now! Let’s hope they are just as patient with him in the Prem because it’s going if to be a tough battle
