What's your favourite memory from Sir Garfield Sobers' cricket career? 🏏

lee.connor2mo ago

One of my Dad’s favourite ever players. Know little of him myself but you only need to watch Stick to Cricket to realise how highly thought of he was.

Never got to watch him but my parents have always been adamant that he is the greatest cricketer of all time. Very sad news

Way too young to have watched him but he's always been someone who's the "favourite player of my favourite player" Respect from fans can often be emotional, but that level of respect from peers is legendary. Six sixes is iconic, but his legacy is right alongside WG Grace, Don Bradman etc.

One of the cricketers I wish I was old enough to see live. It could be argued WI have created the greatest players of them all. Sobers as the greatest all-rounder. Viv Richards as the greatest batsman and Marshall as the greatest bowler πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

My dad looked visibly emotional when he got the news. Titan of the game 🏏

Same with mine. A special player ahead of his time as well. He'd be the most coveted player in world cricket leagues today

The 6 x 6s. Pure magic. Of another era.

Obviously didn’t get to watch him, but always known it’s between him and Kallas for the greatest cricketer of all time! A very sad day!
