Frank Lampard got Coventry City over the line to get into the Premier League last season, but is he more important in the Sky Blues history than Mark Robins? Robins spent seven years at Coventry, helping them gain two promotions, as well as reaching the FA Cup semi-finals in 2024…

Lamps could be history by Christmas if Coventry don’t start to get points. I think Frank will always be regarded highly by Coventry fans, but I don’t think he will be there that long.

I disagree, I think Coventry will keep him. They’ll have always known relegation was a possibility, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Coventry already have a plan for Lampard to take them back up in 2027/28

Agreed. He hasn’t had time to build the legacy that Robins did and he won’t have the time to in the Premier League if current form continues…

I might be biased but I think Robins means way more to Cov than Lampard. A milimetre from an FA Cup final and put them on the path to the prem. Frank deserves credit for finishing the job, but needs to keep them up to get on terms with Robins imo

No, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Robins walked so Lampard can run!

Longevity takes it for Robins for me, but maybe Frank will get there one day!

I completely agree. Lampard still has time to further cement his legacy at the club, but without Robins none of his achievements at Coventry would have been possible!
