Coventry's Premier League return ends in a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal 😔 What did you think of the performance?!

Despite the result, there was some good pieces of defending. Amenda looked good on and off the ball. Iike the energy of the full-backs I think Awoniyi should be starting over Simms, need his presence if they’re gonna struggle to keep possession

No surprises but will still be a worry. This was Arsenal in second gear

Hard to take much from that as there was always a good chance it would go that way. Would have been good to see some encouraging signs but not the end of the world they weren’t there

Losing to Arsenal away won’t define their season. There were a few bits to like from Lampard’s side. Next weekend against Hull will tell us what they’re made of

Agreed, they kept on going and grew in confidence in the second half, albeit Arsenal probably took their foot off the gas

Really poor but it won’t define the season by any stretch of the imagination

Extremely comfortable for Arsenal, but they’ll face much tougher challenges. Same applies to Coventry, but you fear for them

Was always going to be a tough ask, but we made some avoidable mistakes in the lead up to a couple of Arsenal’s goals. However, it was not humiliating and next week against Hull is the real opportunity to prove that we are up to it at this level!

Playing arsenal first is rough, but didn’t see anything from them to suggest they’ll stay up

They’re not going to be the last team Arsenal thrash this year. Hard to tell though if they’re going to have enough to finish 17th

Arsenal showed the clear gulf in class between the top of the Premier League and the top of the Championship. But Coventry must remember that it is only the first of 38 games and focus on their more winnable matches.

There will be better days this season. Tough test to kick off the season. Means nothing - plenty of clubs will get turned over by Arsenal this season.

No surprises really. Hull, Brighton, Forest and Newcastle are the upcoming games they need to take points from.

Very very poor. Huge wake up call for Cov.

That was a free hit, plenty of teams will lose at Arsenal. Wasn’t great though, not convinced by Rushworth
