Callum McGregor

damiansmyth5040d ago

Such a daft question , I am concerned what every Celt player does without ball . Mc G by far our best player

raymondduffy41d ago

Definitely. He’s such a talented player but, by God, he slows the game to a snail’s pace, whenever he gets the ball. I’d love to see him released to be more creative.

amirmir41d ago

Another out an out number six signing would be good, to help McGregor rest and rotate. Plus build for the future.

raymondduffy41d ago

Regarding Pat Bonnar’s. Moments in Sinisalo, yes he is a fine keeper, but his distribution is woeful.

raymondduffy41d ago

Fine up front, but very shaky at the back and we MUST find a hard man for our midfield, it’s nowhere near physical enough. However, great to watch going forward. Now, you young lads, please explain this latest trend of wingers playing on their ‘weaker’ side, makes no sense to me. All they do is cut inside and clog up an already congested final third.

Undoubtedly, 99% of the fans have rightly criticised the board, but when was the last time we spent over £30m even allowing for sales money brought in

It's not just calmac who's needing help!!!we are no where near where we need to be and we can't put the blame on MON a die hard tim 1916

amirmir80d ago

Yes, he's being over worked and it can no longer continue. He needs help, ASAP!

No man is bigger than the club be it Desmond or McGregor. Been a fantastic servant to the club but went missing during the Nancy tenure. We have a perfect replacement in Johnstone and if Callum decides to leave he will go with my best wishes but the club and time both move on

paddyd81386d ago

Media talk as usual

jackbhoy67386d ago

Bye bye pass back

jo797522162d ago

Most these players are furst pick since they wore strips one thing you dont do is make you think your better than him managers and coaches job to do tje shouting

rvybw9z4yf172d ago

Celtic have been very successful under CaL as captain. It’s only the h.ns & their media who want to upset & divide us like they bloody Celtic Collective

williamhartley61179d ago

Calum carries that midfield. The rest all hide when the going gets tough. Macavennie hasn't a clue. He should stick to looking for treasure

c4862737138d ago

It's not fair to put Lambert or McGregor in the same era cause Lambert had plenty of talent around him like movrachic, petrov Sutton and special and one of the best finishes,in my opinion henerik Larsson one of best striker of all time, McGregor loyalty and success quality can't not doubt so wise up and give the lad some

jo797522162d ago

Not in that posistion

jimmchugh1957163d ago

No chance lambert was miles ahead of him serial winner

Declan Rice, ALL DAY LONG!!! I think he is arguably the best, all round midfielder in Europe right now..

jo797522162d ago

As captain ccv i always like defenders captains the have a perfect few plus there big lads

williamhartley61168d ago

Calum does everything himself in midfield. And people slag him off. Engels offers nothing. Hatste doesn't want to be there. And nygrem disappears for the majority of a natch

rvybw9z4yf198d ago

The thing that supporters can do is actually is to cease using team to protest. Celtic Collective have every right to protest especially if they know people who will do a far better job than our current Board . We need to give Cal & the entire team our very best support for whole match

kruzybhoy200d ago

He should be deployed further up the park and subbed after 65-70 mins , he is still a big miss in midfield when he’s not playing

pauldshapero210d ago

Stan Petrov 🙏

anderson.george0904165d ago

Get rid of mcgregor can only point side ways or back the way no interest playing foward

patrickmccrory111195d ago

Stick with Callum. He drinks, eats and sleep Celtic. His heart is there and always will be.

Tierney!

kruzybhoy200d ago

He’s definitely up there for me especially this season he has took unfair criticism, the finger should be pointed elsewhere

mulraney05226d ago

McGreogor??..nae wonder ye got pumped Ange..his constant inclusion now is holding Celtic back

brisab2706226d ago

Not captain material, runs around and points ,not aggressive enough and sticks up for poor players

♥ 1

kruzybhoy200d ago

Yes 100% he needs quality players around him with different attributes to the midfielders we currently have , it needs mixed up in midfield with aggression and quality

frankhmorris248d ago

punt him.

martinirvine68251d ago

Yes we do rely on our skipper in every game. I would love to see his stats. He even played against Talbot. He needs a wee rest now and again. We are a poorer side when he is not playing. He needs help in the.middle of the park. Hatate isn't on form just now and Engles blows hit and cold. Nygren is a forward thinking player and not to good defensively

Hopefully not but it has to be his decision he has served celtic well and will be a great loss 💚💚
