How would YOU rate Birmingham City's season so far?

dantowen8195112d ago

I’ll say C - I still think this team is capable of far more. Need to get Vicente and Stansfield firing

markmarston12d ago

Same as last season really - 10th heading into the break. Not convinced Davies can guide this team to the play-offs

Birmingham fans, what are your thoughts on Chris Davies? He seems to divide opinions 🤔

markmarston17d ago

I think he’s a solid manager but nothing more than that. Ultimately, if Birmingham want promotion this season they may be forced to look elsewhere. Or, they can allow him to learn on the job and grow with the club over a sustained period of time

Birmingham defeated Wrexham 3-1 two years ago today! What's your favourite memory from the L1 promotion season?

markmarston19d ago

This was a special evening… all eyes on the big money man Jay Stansfield and he bags a brace 🔥

How impressed have you been with Liam Millar Birmingham fans? 👀

markmarston20d ago

Can’t believe Hull allowed him to leave… especially after scoring the winner vs Coventry! What a player Birmingham have on thier hands. Surely got to buy him on a permanent in Jan??

Birmingham lose away at Norwich leaving Chris Davies with one win from the first six games. How much pressure is he under?

dantowen8195125d ago

To be honest I’m surprised he’s still there. I can’t help feel there will always be a ceiling on birminghams potential without a better coach

How many points will Birmingham City get from their next five games? 🤔

dale.odonnell26d ago

6 points…

markmarston26d ago

Can genuinely see about four or five points here… that’s an incredibly tough run

Give us YOUR reaction as Birmingham draw 2-2 with Wolves in a thrilling game 👇

jonathan.gorrie28d ago

Could have won it in the second half! Great character there

Liam Millar became Birmingham's seventh signing of the summer last night... how would you rate the window from 1/10?

markmarston33d ago

Millar is a super addition, stunned Hull were willing to let him go. I’d say 7.5/10. Love the Max Bird signing too

Our Championship predictions are here! Thoughts on where we've got Birmingham to finish? 👀

will.butcher61d ago

Play offs or just below for me. Probs go to the final few games and miss out - seems pretty atypical of BCFC

shamanth.jayaram61d ago

No chance they make the playoffs, even though that should be the aim. I’ll stick my neck out and say they finish 15th

tyler.rowlinson61d ago

I think Chris Davies costs Birmingham playoffs this season. I don’t see him lasting the full season. Blues have a great squad, but with him as boss, they won’t get very far. Round about 10th or 11th I reckon

Birmingham City fans... what do you make to this transfer rumour 🤔

dantowen8195162d ago

He had some good moments at Hamburg - I presume he’d replace Ducksch, though I’m not confident he’d get as many goals

🙂Add a comment…Open Discussion

Signing number five through the door at Birmingham.. what areas do we still need to strengthen?

eoin66d ago

Still feel another striker is needed after Vasquez, looks like Ducksch is leaving

Anderlecht striker Luis Vazquez set to become Birmingham's fourth signing 🎯

markmarston68d ago

Really not sure on this one… that goal record looks pretty meh. If he can chip in with 7/8 that’d be decent

Birmingham City fans... how likely is a Jude Bellingham return? 🤔

eoin82d ago

Only if Birmingham get to the Prem by then, can't see a player like that dropping down divisions before retiring... Could be wrong though

seanfisher82d ago

Any Birmingham fan should just forget it. It’s not happening, never will, it’s a pipe dream 😂

peter.lynch82d ago

Don’t see why not! Would love to see it, and what number they would give him 👀

Here’s some interesting random stats & facts about Birmingham City:

chillout92d ago

Birmingham became the first team in English history to win a major cup at Wembley and suffer relegation from the Premier League in the same season (2011). They were the first English club to play in a European competition - the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1955. They were also the first English club to reach a European final - losing to Barcelona in 1960.

Is Birmingham City really a ‘sleeping giant’, or is this term over-used and over-hyped ? Who is in the ‘sleeping giant’ club ?

kyle.dimond124d ago

Definitely an over-used term and I don’t think Birmingham qualify for it.

jonny125d ago

Sleeping giant is way too overused. Villa, Forest and Leeds feel like they could be considered a sleeping giant given history, but Birmingham are not and never have been that big!

dale.odonnell125d ago

Big stadium so they have the foundations to be a big club. Sleeping giant is a stretch.

Birmingham fans will be looking forward to the new season, after a respectable showing last term. The Tom Brady effect and the massive investment in the club has fans excited. A top 6 finish is probably a must - is this realistic and who will be fighting Birmingham for those too 6 slots ?

markmarston125d ago

I think Chris Davies will hold them back in truth… people forget it’s his first ever job in management. He’s so inexperienced and that showed at different points last season. They are in a similar boat to Wrexham I feel… perhaps need to shake hands with the gaffer and bring a proven promotion specialist in to replace him

josh.barker125d ago

They need to finish in the top 8 for promotion now but this season is so much stronger. Running out of time to make it to the PL though. Spent so much money in last two seasons an SCR will become a problem if promotion doesn’t happen

charlesjones125d ago

Think the manager has to change if Birmingham want to go up. He’s decent but he’s not at ‘that’ level.

Which game ranks above this if not?

dantowen81951123d ago

Poor Koscielny still remembers that brutal hair ruffle 😂

jamie.brown82125d ago

Football is about winning 🏆 and beating Arsenal made it even better!!!

charlesjones125d ago

Think a fair few would say the Villa game from that cup run

Let's hear your other options if Davies isn't the man in your eyes

markmarston125d ago

This will sound mental but… Thomas Frank? The owners are incredibly ambitious… they’ll put him on a big wedge and back him in the market. Frank built up with Brentford so he may find the project attractive

Just like players, every manager has a ceiling and I think he’s reached his now

Which Birmingham striker will score more goals in 2026/27?

dantowen81951123d ago

Depends if Davies is replaced by a manager who can get more out of Kyogo. Priske seems a better fit for the Champ at present

🙂Add a comment…Open Discussion

Who are you picking? 👀

dantowen81951123d ago

Dugarry, brief but brilliant

freddie124d ago

Idk why but I have a weird memory of Zigic… probably his height 😅

dale.odonnell125d ago

Nicky Butt
