Our Championship predictions are here! Thoughts on where we've got Birmingham to finish? 👀

will.butcher2mo ago

Play offs or just below for me. Probs go to the final few games and miss out - seems pretty atypical of BCFC

shamanth.jayaram2mo ago

No chance they make the playoffs, even though that should be the aim. I’ll stick my neck out and say they finish 15th

tyler.rowlinson2mo ago

I think Chris Davies costs Birmingham playoffs this season. I don’t see him lasting the full season. Blues have a great squad, but with him as boss, they won’t get very far. Round about 10th or 11th I reckon

tom.procter2mo ago

The competition is too strong for a play-off push and I actually don’t see them cracking the top half

jonny2mo ago

I don’t see why Birmingham can’t challenge for automatic promotion. Spent enough to do so and Wolves might be in serious problem anyway!

dale.odonnell2mo ago

It’s going to take them to time adjust. It won’t be plain sailing for Birmingham City.

jackgallagher2mo ago

They should challenge for playoffs but not sure they've done enough business in the window to actually do it!

vatsal2mo ago

Their ceiling is 7th, could be as bad as 12th. Can't shake off the feeling that they are being overrated due to the circus which surrounds them, people begging for another Wrexham. That was lightning in a bottle. Manager is a red flag for me

matthew.johns2mo ago

I would say top half, but outside the play-offs - not sure they are ready to challenge for promotion yet

dantowen819512mo ago

I don’t like to say it but I think they should’ve replaced Chris Davies - feels like there’s a limit to how far they can go under him I really like the signing of Luis Vazquez though, he was pretty good last season at a Getafe side who qualified for Europe I expect Carlos Vinicius to have a much bigger impact too with a pre season under his belt

eoin2mo ago

Toughest championship season in years lies ahead, weve got the big PL sides and exciting projects like Coventry are only going to get better. Birmingham need to do more to be in with a shot

billy.meyers2mo ago

Way too high. Still think they need another season of adapting and some more signings until they can seriously challenge for promotion 👀

leeclarke05082mo ago

Birmingham will challenge for play offs but miss out for me. Don't see Preston going down either. Charlton could be in trouble. Norwich and Derby I'd fancy for play offs.

johnverrall112mo ago

Too high, I think they’ll be relatively static and finish in mid table

callum_boyle2mo ago

They’ll finish 11th and Davies is gone by October

jameslloyd14.jl2mo ago

I can see them sneaking playoffs with the new system but 6th seems high to me. Need to get more business done

jordan.harris2mo ago

Playoffs has surely got to be the target

seanfisher2mo ago

Yeah but I think they’ll fall just short

josh.barker2mo ago

Not a chance of 6th, squad is fine but haven’t done loads this summer and the league is even stronger this season

martin.crawford2mo ago

Their business has been much more low-key than last season, but their squad is still very strong on paper imo. A lot of expectation on Davies’ shoulders - don’t think he’ll be in a job if they don’t get playoffs at least. I can see them getting it

chillout2mo ago

Difficult one this. They are a big club and they have big plans, but this league is tough - especially as two of the relegated teams are expected to bounce right back up. They probably are dark horses, but I think top 6 might be a bit ambitious for them at this stage.

seanfisher2mo ago

Birmingham clearly have big ambitions, but there are too many big dogs in the league already chasing promotion… 8th for me

eoin2mo ago

Who's most likely to stay down from the PL? I would say all three will be in the playoffs anyway

charlesjones2mo ago

Way too high. They’re no better than last season in a stronger league

seanfisher2mo ago

I think they are better, but yeah it’s definitely a stronger league

markmarston2mo ago

They’ve had a year to adjust in the Champ… brought in a new striker as well. They underperformed last year
