Wolves vs Nottingham Forest

scott.mason304d ago

Only way I see the club signing 'Premier League' quality players is by inserting a relegation clause, but then if what seems to be inevitable happens, it will just be another rebuild in the summer when they leave as well

luke.randall304d ago

This is what I'm thinking, Edwards says we have a plan for January, but who is actually going to want to join us?

luke.randall304d ago

Think he's gonna end up being sold for peanuts now, typical Wolves

sandkpwaterworth301d ago

Wolves I am afraid to say will not get any better, while we have the owners we have. It makes no difference what manager comes along thinking I can change this situation, THEY can't. Not until the owners stop selling our best players and replacing them with better.

sd240671304d ago

We are desperate for some drive and penetration in the final 3rd, a new signing in january to resolve this issue is paramount! Prince andrew could definatley add penetration after being released by palace

sandkpwaterworth301d ago

Sean I think you had better take a better and closer look, he was offside and obstructing the goalkeeper.

scott.mason304d ago

Agree with Nigel, he was standing in the worst possible position. Could have been anywhere else haha

nigel.tonks305d ago

Where do you want him to stand. Well how about not in an offside position. Before the new rules the goal would have been ruled out anyway. He also states that the goalkeeper wouldn't have saved it anyway which is rubbish as it could have been saved without even having to dive.

Strand Lawson might be a brilliant player, but no how brilliant one player is they cannot win games with out quality to play alongside them. Unfortunately wolves don't have that quality in their team.

tom.procter305d ago

Tolu surely replaces JSL for the United game after tonight

Larsen anonymous and while it does feel harsh considering the lack of service, the best STs are able to create their own chances.

With Joao suspended and Munetsi & Krejci injured, who's going to play there?

scott.mason305d ago

Not available to play the team he is heavily linked with... He'll be a big miss. Not sure who starts over him now. Maybe Munetsi in a deeper role?

sd240671270d ago

As ive said before make a signing of someone released by palace who will excel at touches in the box no matter how tight and with his experience he will penetrate defenders especially the younger ones (prince andrew)

sd240671270d ago

As ive said previosly make a free teansfer of someone after being released by palace will get plenty of touxhes in box and with his experience we will definatley penetrate the younger players to score

scott.mason305d ago

Overall, feel it is a net positive, but it takes way too long for simple decisions

luke.randall305d ago

It stinks, waste of time mostly

luke.randall305d ago

The goal is forwards. We seem to have an obsession with turning around

scott.mason305d ago

Bold to stay unchanged, but that performance vs Villa was one of the best of the season so makes sense!

Big call from Edwards to go unchanged! Clearly liked what he saw against Villa

scott.mason305d ago

Agree on the midfield. Joao Gomes and Andre are quality, but they are not the type of players who will push a team up the pitch. Bellegarde has been that player lately

mackhan305d ago

We have lost games without him. Keep him away from our box. Keep him or Larsen on halfway line on corners will keep 3 of the opposition players out of the attack.

tom.procter306d ago

Reckon there's decent a chance he rotates in though. Quick turnaround and not sure Arias did enough vs Villa to keep his place 🤔

scott.mason305d ago

That could work, Liz. Andre has only really played as a DM across his career, with around 30 as a central midfielder. Perhaps moving him slightly forward and asking him to make riskier passes could be an unearthed solution!

liz305d ago

Interested in your post about Andre playing a more attacking midfield... Bold suggestion! Move him up to replace Hwang and bring Munetsi in behind him...

Would be surprised to see Doherty chucked back into the back three

tom.procter306d ago

Gotta be third time lucky for Rob. Some very encouraging signs vs Villa

Has to come at some point , right?

Might be out there, but for some reason I am actually thinking a 1-0 Wolves win... We can certainly hope 🐺

The reception he will receive will probably be the same as this match. But after he scored and celebrated, it could be even worse now...

Hope the admin got a bonus for this 😂

scott.mason307d ago

That's brilliant hahaha

scott.mason307d ago

That's not a great omen, but that Aston Villa performance has given some optimism. COYW.
