Is £40m a fair price for Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes this summer? 🤔

The club have reportedly set their asking price for the Brazilian, who cost just £15m in January 2023...

No way.

freddie4mo ago

Really? In the champ you sorta have to expect around that

macwolf394mo ago

Based on this seasons efforts...NO !

freddie4mo ago

Would lose basically the whole squad for nothing based on this season...

Worth 50 million

Hopefully if other clubs come to the table we might get near this. Seems Atletico are in pole right now

Wolves have been giving so many players away to make money instead of keeping them to win something. They have managed to get some great players the two players you are talking about will be missed but it the greedy Teams want to get these players then they need to pay big money for them Wolves will need to buy themselves!!

roganderson5mo ago

I don't believe that statement. Has to be £50+

freddie5mo ago

Can't see anyone paying that when everyone knows he too goo for the Championship, he will want out, and the owners will want they money either way. If Wolves stayed up, maybe, but now need to take what you can get

Considering the relegation, it doesn’t exactly put Wolves in a position to demand much more. Best hope is a bidding war

freddie5mo ago

Spot on, but can't see a bidding war happening, there's plenty of players out there like him

If it was a £40m lump sum and not £5m here, £6m there another 20m in two seasons time etc then maybe, but structure of payments is part of the problem these days, like when we had to sell the payments liverpool owed us for jota that time to a bank to get money

tom.procter5mo ago

Would be amazed if they managed to secure a lump sum, seems staggered payments are increasingly common these days. Let’s see what happens, £40m in one payment would really help us out

stuartbruin455mo ago

Nearer £60 mill would be a more sensible figure. Stop subsidising other clubs with give away prices. Remember Diogo Jota.

tom.procter5mo ago

Think we’d probably be demanding £60m if we’d stayed up. £40m probs best we can realistically get now
