West Ham have to keep up quickly, the top of the championship is like the bottom half of the prem. If they think they they can breeze through and win everything without changes, I fear a rude awakening is on the cards.

Use to it over the years we never get going until last few days of transfer window, then it's a mad scramble to get deals over the line

It seems the slave trade is alive and well, Man City's showcase idea is odd to say the least. It reminds me of school, when the boys stand around waiting and hoping to be picked to play and the fat boys and the weak end up running round the field.

I don't think West Ham are sitting on their hands with the transfer malarkey, it's just boring watching the same old ifs and buts. I think and hope they are keeping their cards close to their chest.The World Cup has slowed everything.

It's just like last year. Nothing happened for weeks and then a mad rush of mainly poor signings at the end. Where did that lead us? Those thinking we are favourites for promotion are deluding themselves.
