Imray off to Wrexham then 😪 Where do we go from here?!

Another small step in the full Wrexham heel turn with them having more pull than established clubs. Not that West Brom aren’t to blame also
callum_boyle2mo ago
Baffled that West Brom didn’t try and make a move sooner. Wrexham offer better financial incentives but if the club desperately wanted him then he was right in their hands. Poor planning

This has been an issue for a while at West Brom - full-backs who don’t offer much going forward. Imray was a great antidote to that, losing him is like being pushed back to square one

I’d be looking at the loan market in the Prem. Take a chance on a youngster from one of the top-6 clubs

Needs to start looking abroad more, plenty of cheap talent in leagues like the mls

5 million pounds is a lot of money for a right-back for West Brom. Move on

It wasn’t too long ago that West Brom was a yoyo club, jumping between the Prem and the Championship - and that was viewed fairly negatively by fans. Those look like the golden years now. Sad.

Bring back Eric Ramsay and give Mikey Johnston a run at wing back

Unfortunately Wrexham are just in a better place right now. West Brom could do a lot worse than looking at Jaydan Kamason from United as a potential alternative on loan. He’s ready to contribute at a high level and offers some much needed quality in the final third

If Amass is actually available for 6m then West Brom would be fools to not even try to convince him. Likely to lose that battle, but surely worth a try

Just shows the poor financial position we’re in right now. We no longer have the pull we used to have over the majority of championship teams. Pairing that with how bad our recruitment has been over the last few years and it’s pretty bleak reading imo.

When you're not rich you need to be smart. Unfortunately, West Brom have been neither. Consolidation in the Championship would be a great season for them.

Just don’t think West Brom have the money to go up unless they have the perfect year. Shame as they are a proper Prem club in my eyes

Not convinced on appointing an interim who has done well either… never usually works out does it

What does this say about Albion these days… getting foodchained by Wrexham? Need to show ambition ortherwise it could be another relegation battle
vatsal2mo ago
I think it will be. Between the strong PL teams dropping down and the likes of Wrexham having another level of ambition in comparison, I can't see a world where WBA are competitive
jonny2mo ago
Is that really so surprising? Wrexham are currently a much bigger club in terms of the appeal, worldwide audience and fanbase and also financially.

Imray transformed us last season, superb player at this level. Once again fell into the trap of falling in love with a loan player 💔 does just show where we are financially though. Doesn’t change the fact full backs need to be a priority, we were so unbalanced first half of last season we can’t be playing CBs at right back again!

Painful that Wrexham can do it
