Talk LA Lakers

fullcourtpress20d ago

Sandro, but for the wrong reasons. He's a traffic cone on defense and with only one good defender in the lineup his flaws are gonna be exposed 😐

I really like Walker kessler. Saw a lot of people clowning the move but he could be the defensive anchor LA have needed. #2 in blocks behind wemby type year

camerondesc124d ago

D Russell, he’s just reminder of the very bad times as a laker fan

fullcourtpress36d ago

Kobe. Don't @ me

aaditya.krishnamurthy48d ago

Oh I love this out of my Lakers hate, but I absolutely back Jeanie here. Unlike the rest of the Buss siblings who have been a detriment to the team, Jeanie has been huge for the team, even bringing a championship in 2020. If she doesn’t want to sell, she shouldn’t. Dr. Buss would’ve been proud of her

dancoombs53d ago

Honestly I’m stunned by this. I thought based on the Dodgers, Walter was in it for the long haul

jamesshearman2353d ago

If only I had $10 billion. Easy money that is 💵

eoin53d ago

So this guy just made 2.5 billion. Lifes not fair

Definitely Shaq. Having that dominant 5 is exactly what we need rn

camerondesc124d ago

Kobe, Magic. shaq, Kareem

jamesshearman2358d ago

Kobe, Magic, Kareem and West. LeBron & Shaq unlucky to miss out

dancoombs59d ago

I like Grimes to have the biggest impact. I worry for Kessler with the pressure and the fact the Lakers have given up so much to get him

aaditya.krishnamurthy68d ago

This Lakers roster just isn’t good enough to win a championship. Rob Pelinka is squandering yet another year of Doncic’s prime

eoin68d ago

Walker Kessler for me, LA is going to need his defensive presence if they're gonna contend. Really though, another top defender is needed

jamesshearman2394d ago

Great signing. The Lakers have built a good team. If only LeBron signed on a minimum, they’d be contenders

dancoombs95d ago

I like this, Grimes has proven he can put up big numbers and has played with Luka before

jamesshearman2394d ago

Gave up too much but he’s young and a quality player. People will forget the trade package if he plays well enough

walkercharlie82895d ago

Lakers front office bout to get exposed with LeBron gone

dancoombs95d ago

Surely it would have been more efficient to just sign Jalen Duren. I like Kessler though could be a good fit

jamesshearman2396d ago

As a LeBron fan, I’m excited. It might also be good news for the Lakers. They can finally build around Luka and Reaves with a quality big man

Unbelievable that this was his longest tenure with a team. I don't think when I looked back in 10 years I'll see him in a lakers jersey, but what a legacy he left with them. Time for the retirement tour 😢

Lakers will be weaker without him but he deserves to choose where he plays really. Would love the rumours of him teaming up with Curry, AD and Draymond to be true.

I’d keep LeBron cuz he’s a proven winner and knows what it takes, which the Lakers need. But his salary is a huge problem

eoin120d ago

Austin, come on, LeBron is winding down and the Lakers need to build for future with Luka in his prime

Ron Artesr dagger in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals - close second is LeBron breaking Kareem’s record since I watched live

dancoombs123d ago

Derek Fisher’s 0.4 second buzzer beater for the sheer drama 🏀

dancoombs123d ago

I would say C. There was some promise there and they won a playoff series (unlike the previous year) - plus they can blame their elimination on injuries

jamesshearman23129d ago

D - wasnt their fault but the Luka injury ruined their season

dancoombs123d ago

Everything except Luka. But I’m not convinced the Lakers could (a) build a trade package to get Giannis and (b) have a fully functioning team left around the two stars. It would be entertaining for sure…

camerondesc124d ago

Absolutely not. That would truly devalue the meaning of statues. It should only be reserved for true franchise legends.

charlesjones122d ago

No way. He’s won one ring. All time great player, but not an all time great Laker.

kilham.max130d ago

I wouldn't say so - his impact on the organisation is far lower than that of Kobe, Magic etc. Lebron should have a statue in Cleveland.
