Just seems to be going bad to worse for Burnley. Fans are upset with the Chairman and the owners, as they feel the club has lost its way and is in a downward spiral.

If I was a Burnley fan, watching Kyle Walker do absolutely nothing would really really really wind me up. Not the biggest problem of course, but why do they keep playing him?!

caleb.sage3w ago

Yikes, has he been that bad? 😭

Think we’ve seen before that this can happen. Championship is tough, if you’re in a bad place things can soon unravel.

Swindon, Wolves, Sunderland, Luton and Leicester all suffered relegation from the Championship the season following relegation from the Premier League.

I knew things were bad at Burnley, but this is even worse than I imagined. They may still be able to fight for the play-offs come the end of the season, but that appears to be a long shot right now…

No club in Championship history has been 11 points off the automatic promotion places after 7 games and go up in the top 2. So Burnley are probably now hoping for the playoffs at best. Both Villa and Palace did , however, secure promotion via the playoffs after being 11 points off the automatic places after 7 games.

This Burnley side are probably 10th strongest in the league on paper, so it isn’t shocking that they’re struggling. Fleming leaving was the nail in the coffin for automatic promotion, sneaking into the playoffs is the only way!

They are already 11 points from automatic promotion. Something has to change fairly quickly.

The outside noise is much worse towards the owner than the last time they were in the Champ because fans are now fed up. Saying that, under Kompany, they made a very similar start like they have now and still got promoted that season. They have to stick with the manager and hope it changes post in'tl break.
