Conor Roberts has admitted he's 'a little bit disappointed' Craig Bellamy isn't the Burnley manager... thoughts? 😳
Not sure Nicky Hayen will be happy...

A bit of a strange one this. Not sure why he didn’t just leave it at praise for Bellamy

I do have some sympathy with the player - considering Burnley’s dire start to the season. But I’m not sure I would have come out and said it as he has done so publicly. The club is probably best served by just sucking it up however - otherwise the whole affair will end up becoming another victim of the Streisand Effect.

Yeah maybe let it blow over ideally but if Hayen is here to stay, he can’t let it slide otherwise you’re setting a bad example. Culture is so important. Players need to know what’s acceptable and what isn’t in order to keep high standards

What an odd thing to say, even weirder that he’s saying it while wearing a Wales top!

I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and believe that it was just poorly-thought-out praise of Bellamy rather than a purposeful dig of Hayen

Someone’s played his last game for Burnley….

Or has Hayen managed his final game…

He and every Burnley fan 😂

I actually can’t believe he thought this was appropriate to say. He’s an experienced player as well. You’d have to think whether this is a bit sinister and he’s trying to get Hayen sacked?

He’s got to know Hayden is on his way out or otherwise this is so stupid. Imagine walking back into training after saying that 😬

This is so unprofessional and completely undermines the manager. Hayen will be forced to remove him from the squad surely? Can’t allow that, what examples does it set??
