What a manager Antonio Iraola turned out to be. But how worried should fans be now that he has gone ? Marco Rose looks like a shrewd hire, as he is well-regarded and, like Iraola, adopts intense, aggressive and high-energy tactics. But Iraola will be a hard act to follow.

Definitely a hard act to follow and would’ve been really excited to see what he could do with one more season and holding on to his stars. Very interested to see how they get on with Rose

Rose feels like a proper safe pair of hands, even if he’s unproven in England. He’s got years of experience balancing Europe and domestic

vatsal4mo ago

My hot take is that Rose will crash and burn Iraola jumped at the top Squad gets stretched in Europe and they finish bottom half. Rose won't be the manager this time next season

chillout4mo ago

He probably won’t be given much time either. The owner will move quickly if it isn’t working.

dale.odonnell4mo ago

It’s a tough ask, but Bournemouth should take inspiration from Brighton even though that’s an overused cliche. Just in how they didn’t buckle after managerial changes. Marco Rose would be an intriguing appointment.

dakir.thanveer4mo ago

Not sold on the Rose appointment but hey, Bournemouth are solid at making these decisions.

tom.procter4mo ago

Huge shoes to fill after everything Iraola achieved but Rose is a talented coach and this is an exciting squad. And I think crucially Bournemouth are really well run so having a great structure in place should stand Rose in good stead

jonny4mo ago

They’ve so much talent, even if Rose doesn’t work out you would assume the next manager will

markmarston4mo ago

I consider Bournemouth in the same bracket as Brentford… just an extremely well ran and structured club. So if you look at how Brentford have got even better since Frank left, perhaps the same could happen with Bournemouth. On paper, Rose joins with a more impressive CV then Iraola when he was appointed three years ago

eoin4mo ago

Great point mark, everyone thought Brentford were going down this season

charlesjones4mo ago

I think this could spell trouble. Depends which players stay or go

chillout4mo ago

Who will they want to keep ?

jonny4mo ago

They need to invest really wisely on depth this summer

jamie.brown824mo ago

Tbh, I think the way Bournemouth is mow set up, most managers could come in and succeed. Incredible what they are doing on the South Coast! 👏

leeclarke05084mo ago

Bournemouth were a club that helped managers settle. Iraola won one of his first 11 and was given time to build. Will Rose get the same level of patience with European football now on the calendar? I'm not so sure he will..

jonny4mo ago

I don’t think they’ll give him a deep enough squad to cope with the extra games… Iraola getting out before it got tough perhaps?

jameslloyd14.jl4mo ago

They’re going to need to improve the depth of the squad playing in Europe, hopefully have the funds to enable it

chillout4mo ago

Where do you think they need to strengthen?

callum_boyle4mo ago

Oh they definitely do, they’re minted

seanfisher4mo ago

Expecting him to achieve what Iraola did will end in disaster. But Bournemouth have a really exciting squad and European football to look forward to, hopefully Rose can get them playing some exciting stuff!

chillout4mo ago

So what does success look like for Bournemouth next term ?

jonny4mo ago

Rose is one of those managers who has been on the verge of a Prem move for years but it never quite happened! Intrigued to see how he fares now it has gone through! Depends on how many players he loses
