It was a terrible call!! There was no intent to injure. You saw Kane get a yellow card last night for England and that should have been the same for Balogun. I applaud FIFA for getting it right.

I saw it in real time and the replays and believed that it was not a red card. However the ref saw the incident and gave a red card, so that’s that. Poch was also surprised that it could not be appealed but accepted the decision. For this to happen, the first time since 1962, it tarnishes the reputation of the game and the World Cup. An absolute farce

I’m not a fan of suspending bans. Either rescind the decision or stand by it. This is the second time they’ve suspended a ban, after Ronaldo’s 3-match ban from the qualifiers was suspended to let him play in the World Cup.
