How concerned are you about Alex Eala’s form indoors? 😬

mhonreyesjr2d ago

Concerned. She lacks consistency and her skills are hit and miss depending on the type of player and conditions. Her team needs to hire a top-tier biomechanics tennis (serve) coach to correct and optimize everything just like what Gauff did last year, otherwise she will plateau and it will harder to learn new when she needs to unlearn wrong habits first.

I'd rather see her noble name restored in its CORRECT SPELLING!!! Her surname is Ayala with the capital A and NOT an E, you dummies --- All of you have been virally repeating this stupid Australian misspelling, and their lazy ass journalism. Ask the Spaniards how it's spelled because she is the direct discendant to Don Antonio de AYALA!

It is Eala not Ayala. Do you disagree with birth certificate?

Not too concerned. I have faith she’ll get better on the surface, as she has with every other surface

The serve is obviously a huge weapon on indoor courts and it is probably Eala’s biggest weakness, it is clear what she needs to work on.

I don't believe she can significantly improve her serve. Many top players have struggled to return her slow lefty serves. However, once they adapt, it becomes difficult for Eala to win against them.

It's mildly concerning but she's still young and she will have these teething issues finding her way.

I think she should perform better on this surface, but her record isn't great. I'd back her to turn it around though, as she has done with pretty much every hurdle she's faced
