Yes. There is precedent. Juve were stripped of Serie A titles which were the awarded to Inter. Juve have never been the same since whereas Inter have enjoyed a successful period.

Juve absolutely have been the same since, they were promoted and won 9(!) Serie A titles in a row up until 2020. They haven’t won one since and have been really poor recently, but that wasn’t to do with Calciopoli. I once asked a Juventus staff member if they still count those trophies and they said absolutely. You just can’t win!

Initially, I thought that stripping titles from City and awarding the trophies to the runners-up would not feel right. You aren't, as a fan, going to celebrate in the normal way. But, as in justice which arrives late, there would be some satisfaction. There is precedent; Juve were relegated and stripped of Serie A titles which were then awarded to Inter.

Whatever happens they should just leave those years blank. That way people in the future will ask why they are blank. City's cheating will always be there for all to see. No one will then forget.

I actually agree with this. Strip them of the titles by all means but it wouldn’t feel any more special being handed the trophy and medals. Especially as once it happens once, it sets a precedent for any similar sort of broken rules having to be punished the same way. It’s so tricky to decide what punishment is fair

They should definitely be stripped of it. Whether we get it or not is another story, which I’m not particularly bothered about. We lost. Even though they cheated, you can’t change that fact by giving us a trophy.

Personally I don’t want it, the moment has gone and though it would technically mean Gerrard has a title, would anyone really count it? I wouldn’t. Take them off City but just don’t award it to anyone. I agree they should be relegated as well, but it all sounds extremely complicated to achieve. I think maybe a points deduction and a an is all that will happe

I think this is a great point and it seems to be largely only Liverpool fans with this mindset. They absolutely should be stripped of those titles but they equally shouldn’t be awarded out. It wouldn’t feel as special and, how do you even celebrate something from nearly 13 years ago

About time this has happened, relegate them to the championship also with deducted points, also ban them from upcoming transfer windows, then award the 2 Premier league titles that are due to us, then give us the 100 million compensation, then ban them from Europe, oh I hate the Mancs, it's about time city where brought down to earth
