Feels lazy Liverpool hiring Julian Ward again. Edwards going felt like a good time to go in a new direction. What does everyone else think?

This is in line with the FSG model though. Sticking with someone who knows the ins and outs and someone who they trust. Ward developed under Edwards (at this prime haha), so not a bad appointment. Hope he stays longer than he did last time though😅😂

I can see the logic - Liverpool Wanted to move quickly to replace Hughes, and Ward has a lot of history and experience at the club. His proven track record will no doubt help Iraola with contract renewals and identifying key new targets.

Was key in Salah’s contract, hope he can do the same with Virg this summer!

Yh I think it would have been nice to have a look at that Brentford guy, however Ward didn’t do a bad job before did he? Brought in like Macca and signed Salah’s new deal didn’t he?

I’m not sure about Dykes just as I don’t think Brentford’s model would translate that well, but a change would’ve been nice. He made some decent signings to be fair but he walked away! Shouldn’t get a second chance unless you’re special, not sure he is
