If you were Max Verstappen, would you stay at Red Bull or move on?
Verstappen has been linked with McLaren, but could also retire or take a sabbatical

Stay for 2027. The entire field is learning on the run right now. Yes, RBR is behind, but they know how to improve.

Fair point, you'll have a much clearer picture of where everyone is going to stack up in this ruleset if you wait a year

Considering his options. Add the fact the cars all have the same regs so that will not change no matter what team he goes to F1. He should wait it out for the changes that are coming, if he decides to stay in F1. Or force change at RedBull. Otherwise. Leave and go drive WEC or GT3 in the summer months and then go drive FORMULA-E in the new Gen4 cars.

The regs don't seem to be the real issue. His team not listening to him seem to be the real issue. Since the mine change after Japan the super clipping issue has all but disappeared.

All teams are in developmental stage this year and more changes coming for next year. Where ever he were to go he would have the same issues developing a competitive race car. So Max, keep the toys in the cot and help your team develop that race car into a championship winner. They supported you all these years, time to pay back.

Max won 4 WDC's for them. He doesn't owe them fealty. If the contract both he and Red Bull signed says he's allowed to leave if he wants under conditions that have been met, then he's perfectly entitled to leave.

Assuming he still dislikes this regulation period generally, which it seems like he does, I would probably want to leave F1, then see if I want to come back after 2030. He can spend more time with his young family, and he can go race in GT3 and other racing series for a couple of years instead.

If I were Max Verstappen, the only thing on my mind would be getting in a car I believe will be capable of fighting for the 2027 title (and his frustrations with Red Bull in recent years suggest that belief is getting smaller and smaller). So, given the options in the driver market for 2027, I would be leaving F1 at the end of 2026 if I were Verstappen.

I think the relationship is now at a point of now return. He's not been happy for a while, and any sort of backdown wouldn't feel like an end to the saga. I'd take myself to Mercedes instead.

I don't think Red Bull are necessarily in crisis, but it's undeniably worrying that they've lost so many pillars of their success in the past couple of years. McLaren feel like a safer bet long-term given the infrastructure they have at the moment
