Prove us wrong: Daniel Ricciardo tarnished his legacy by returning to F1 with AlphaTauri in 2023

Liam Lawson maybe from New Zealand but He is a Natural Talent I think he's been a scap Goat for Red Bull and yet he did not faulter I'm sure he will be around for some time.A great pick up for any F1 team running in the mid sector. 👍🏻

He was done over by Red Bull and lied to by Renault, Max was brought up to Red Bull senior team in record time, allowed to drive any way he wanted, many times directly impacting Riccardo and point finishes. Ricardo genuinely felt that Renault was the best alternative, but rarely had the car under neath him to make an Impact,

Daniel's career never truly survived leaving Red Bull. That was a mistake. Especially going to Renault for the $$$. But Alpha Tauri was sad, much like when Seb Vettel drove for Aston Martin with very little ambition left in him.

Tsolov if he keeps his for up (even if not) needs to be developed and do FP1 sessions. Because Lawson is either staying, being promoted or a free agent and will be snapped up by another team and if competitive will steal points from VCarb. Best of the Rest with Gasly but Alpine has fallen off so P5 is a big jump in prize money for the team circa USD$10mil

Nyk with a good quali (althought Albon would have been +1 more) was the 1st mistake, the 2nd was getting Daniel to replace him. Losing to Yuki was painful to watch.

Daniel Ricciardo's legacy had already taken a huge dent when he moved to McLaren and struggled massively alongside Lando Norris, before being paid to leave early to open a seat for Oscar Piastri. Ricciardo's return with AlphaTauri was then meant to pave a path back to Red Bull, but all it did was kill his career for good.

Ricciardo's biggest mistake was leaving Red Bull at the end of 2018 and I think that decision tarnished his career more than the move to AlphaTauri. But as a Ricciardo fan, his final two years was a super disappointing end to his career!

Absolutely - Had Daniel Ricciardo not felt Red Bull were shifting towards Max Verstappen (hello Baku 2018), then his career would have surely looked very different.

Tarnished sounds harsh. But I definitely don’t rate him as highly anymore

He was always hailed as one of the best F1 drivers ever to never claim a title, but one could be forgiven for laughing at that statement if they had only seen his performances at Red Bull's sister team
