Did Joshua Zirkzee change your mind with his performance vs Leeds?

I did not need to have mind changed - Zirkee is a proper player, very good on ball, surprising solutions, there is no reason to let him go, let alone on loan, not to mention Juvmafius

Josh is a useful option. Carrick thinks so, like Amass he keeps selecting him in pre-season. I get it, by all accounts he's great on the training pitch, and in the changing room. I know he's had two years, but very different head coach now, putting his own stamp on the side. Give him one more.

Did Zirkzee change my mind, no. I believe he has wonderful skills, but in the fast pace of the PL he needs too much time. He played more as a 10/8 and excelled. How often is Bruno off for Zirkzee and we are priming Lacey. Also Tielemans or Mount can play there. We also have a duty of care. If he is happy to be 3rd choice, great. But if not....

Before pre-season, I just couldn’t see anything Zirkzee genuinely offered. Now I’m starting to wonder if he might actually be a useful option I can’t help feel he’d link up really well with Rashford and Mbeumo

I’ve always felt that with time a front three of Mbeumo, Cunha and Zirkzee could be very effective due to their clever movement but I don’t think we saw it at all last season

Josh is starting to look like he he's more confidence. A bit like Ben last year. Before Michael Carrick came Ben looked a bit like Bambi. I believe Josh could do quite well as backup to Ben and Marcus this season. He cost £34Mil, don't sell him when he is starting to find his way in the team.
