Norwich City’s fan anthem ‘On the ball, City’, is the oldest recognised football song in the world - written in the 1890s. Carrow Road was constructed in 82 days, after the club had to urgently leave the ‘Nest’ stadium in 1935. In 1975 Norwich signed one of the the first football sponsorship shirt contracts - broadcasters initially banned the shirts from TV.
