If not Michael Carrick... WHO ELSE?
Can you name a good available alternative to Michael Carrick you actually want?
patrockslowkey5mo ago
There isn't one. He proved he can handle pressure. He bleeds Man U blood. What More do we need. Wake up Ratcliffe
steveex20055mo ago
My 3 options, Tuchel, Zidane and Enrique are not available so it must be Carrick. If the owners have doubts then give him a one year contract. If he continues to do well then give him a 3 year one
nigel_shacklady5mo ago
Anyone but Garath Southgate. I've been a United fan for 60 years and will stop watching them if its Southgate. I'd Sooner Amorim.
omar687mo5mo ago
Exactly my thoughts too. It's going backwards if you get Southgate. My 55 years of supporting this club will stop as well.

The previous 2 managers couldn't get a tune out of them, Carrick is, ..why fix what aint broke?
don.sebastian75mo ago
Ole did it for a year and then the results fell of a cliff. The football did not change much - it was still stay back and counter. Teams will find you out very quickly and know how to break it. I am not saying results are that bad but we have seen this picture already. If we are giving the job to Carrick it should not be based just on results.
don.sebastian75mo ago
Nagelsmann.. Carrick is too big a risk. People say coach coming in after the world cup does not have time to prepare the team, he will have more time compared to when Carrick is sacked 3-4 months into the season.
omar687mo5mo ago
Nagelsmann has NO premier league experience. Same as RA was. There's no time EPL to gain experience or learn on the job. Then UTD rather get Glasner or Iraola.
dale.odonnell5mo ago
But Nagelsmann hasn't managed a club in three years? There are huge risks involved in every potential appointment.

Luis Enrique
dale.odonnell5mo ago
Looks like he is signing a new contract at PSG.
ianratcliffe19695mo ago
Carra deserves it. He has revived the team and in touching distance of champions league, absolutely unthinkable a few months ago. Give him a 2 year contract, bring in the right players and let him take us back up where we belong. GGMU

The level at which Michael Carrick has taken united team is beyond thinking of any alternative to him. The answer to the question "if not Carrick who else is after CARRICK is Michael Carrick back no one else.
silverado.cruiser5mo ago
Evra is right, but so is Scholes. First you need to steady the ship and Carrick is perfect for that. But then player intelligence needs to improve and tactical prowess in games is important. The question is, can we be confident Carrick will eventually grow in tactical ability and will he have the confidence to try things when the game plan isn't working?
dancoombs5mo ago
Yes, we are kind of at the stage in between. Carrick has steadied the ship - now, do we know categorically yes or no whether he can take the leap? We don’t know, so do we try and find out, or leap straight into another unknown just when the ship has been steadied? I would say the longer period of stability, the better
mpalikheekhe5mo ago
Give that man a bells. He deserves it and he is our next Sir Alex

Michael Carrick, The Cool
ianratcliffe19695mo ago
Carra deserves a FT shot at the job. Give him a 2 year contract and Windows to see how he can mould the team.
deansexton465mo ago
It's not broken do fix it,Carrick is doing a bloody good job,if they were to change manager,we would have to get used to their methods=a backwards step
freddie5mo ago
A backwards step would be keeping someone who they said is only interim manager when there is many more options available. Carrick cannot cope managing such a big club next season who will be in multiple comps.
petermajur5435mo ago
PSG current headcoach
geldroper5mo ago
Under Armorin we would have been happy with 5 or 6.I still will be happy this year with 5th. Next year differant story
davecarey285mo ago
Here's the issue, because of United's past record and more importantly their form a lot of managers have reservations. Hopefully when we qualify for Europe then the outlook changes. How many great managers are out there not many.
ntsanem245mo ago
A good available alternative to Michael Carrick is MICHAEL CARRICK himself.

Fergie?
thesaurus025mo ago
Carrick or ManU will lose me as a supporter.
jamilbj065mo ago
Carrick should be the permanent manager next season as he had showed his capabililty and his alignment with the players and coaching staffs well. Give him chance and he show great results.
nwobuch5mo ago
Enzo Maresca
davecarey285mo ago
We had the same team who were going backwards and losing for fun, Carrick had turned the same players into a proper team fighting to play in Europe, next question
barryroberts725mo ago
We weren't fighting on Monday? games like that at home against teams like Leeds we should win easy, if we play like that vs Chelsea away and Brentford at home with L'pool at home to follow then we won't be finishing 3rd more like 5th/6th, we can't afford to drop anymore pts now.
uzomakizito4165mo ago
No one but Michael Carrick
jesusalive19785mo ago
Carrick is the best available option he well knows the Club from the beginning
stephenjholmes5mo ago
Ever heard of the saying, "if it isn't broke, don't try to fix it"? Going by our results under the current coaching staff, we would be right in the title fight had we started the season with them. Why go and spend millions on another big name when the team is performing like champions? The same people who Amorin claimed were the worst United side in history
dancoombs6mo ago
Andoni Iraola is one I could get behind
davecarey285mo ago
Why exactly explain for me he's just a middle of the road manager nothing to write home about.
scottwallace85916mo ago
If not Carrick then I'd always thought Rio Ferdinand would of made a great manager as he use to connect very well with his team...
dancoombs6mo ago
Rio could be an assistant/motivator type role - I can't see him as the main man
alancrompton186mo ago
What a man give him job know matter what

sweetzakes7.zn6mo ago
How long has Negelsmann been out of a job? I mean why hasn't anyone club appointed him yet
dale.odonnell6mo ago
Naglesmann or Enrique.
ghjcedric6mo ago
I don't understand all the talking on Naglesmann... Carrick is obviously the better choice between him and Naglesmann...
brook0106mo ago
And herein lies the problem - I like Carrick and wouldn’t mind him sticking around but I also can’t think of anyone else who’s available and would be a good alternative 🤔
cr76mo ago
Exactly my thinking. Even if he only gets t4 next season it’s still upward from the trajectory we were on under ETH and Amorim. If he gets us Champions League, the job is his
posix.forward6mo ago
Who remains?
