Are there too many Spanish riders on the MotoGP grid?

Personally I think just because a brand is from a certain country doesn't mean the entire team and pilots needs to be from there too. For the betterment of the sport country or birth should have almost no weight in the decision to sign a pilot. Merit is the deciding factor.

Could be an element of truth in your passport working against you ( Gonzalez for example?) However it can work the other way also ( Miller can arguably thank his passport for his longevity in MotoGP)

I don't believe that. If u good and stand out in moto 3 moto 2 u will be promoted to moto gp. Look Ai he was brilliant and now he has won a gp.

The only reason there isn’t any British riders on the moto Gp grid is there aren’t any good enough.. Dixon started to show some signs but his inconsistencies in Moto 2 probably is the reason he’s now in WSBK same as Sam Lowes & Scott too but BSK. Thinking back only Crutchlow was any good in Moto Gp. As for Rins WSBK beckons!!

It should not matter what passport a rider has if they have the talent to deserve to be on the MotoGP grid... Spanish (and Italian in the past) riders dominant the world championship stage as they come from countries with a pathway to the top, and they also have to prove their worth from the very start.
