What is your INSTANT REACTION as Man United confirm Carrick appointment 🔥
Deserved? Or are you concerned?

With this not buying players they are setting Carrick up for failure. It is embarrising that aclub this big are so viscious
grantfeast4mo ago
I'd like to see Carrick smile and nod appreciatively occasionally whilst on the side lines during the matches. Yes, do the moody thing too like every other manager but show passion with energy. Utd fans are a special breed and back our teams and players and managers well beyond others. Utd are the best club in the world

100%, I’ve really come over to the idea that a Man United manager needs to be a statesman who - first and foremost - understands the pressure of the club
dantowen819514mo ago
One thing he has over Iraola and co - Carrick has proven he can win games at OT! That should not be underestimated, especially as so many talented coaches have struggled amid higher expectations at a bigger club

Deserved.

He seems to have grasped the idea that you play for united in our own way. He just needs to complete some key signings to replace some leaving and some who are injury prone and we will be fine as well as using young player's to keep the others on their toes.
dantowen819514mo ago
Reminds me a bit of Zidane at Madrid in terms of how he understands the pressure - hopefully this ages well

fantastic

Great.A united person. After amorim nearly destroyed the club, Carrick brought everyone together.Hoppe Ratcliffe supports him in the transfer window
jonny4mo ago
That’s the important part, need a squad deep enough to play Champions League football
leeclarke05084mo ago
It's thoroughly deserved but this season has been cushty for him. United have played a 40-game season for first time in god knows how long. Next season, Carrick will have to earn his stripes all over again, with CL football thrown into the mix. That said, it's great to see the biggest club in world football give an Englishman a go.
taylorjoe414mo ago
Yeah I agree mate. We have got a lot of good players when all fit but nowhere near enough. I’m sure we will get 2/3 more hopefully 4. But also introduce 2/3 academy kids during the season
steve.platt74mo ago
Definitely deserved, what else could he have done, just really cheesed off with the ex Utd players negativity, there is currently nothing to be negative about yet too many are mouthing off & really need to back off & let the man do his job, so wishing Michael good luck & hope a good start becomes a long time job!!! 🤔
jonny4mo ago
I hope he wins multiple major trophies, Roy Keane’s back tracking would be perfect 👌🏼 People were willing to give Amorim time based on no evidence, so Carrick deserves time to show this run isn’t a fluke and if backed I think he will succeed! If anything, he’s stopped the rut
gdollop4mo ago
So happy to have a top class human being in the management of the football team. I have high hopes for utd again!
jonny4mo ago
Feels nice to have a manager that cares about the club again

Logic prevailed. The known performance of Carrick with this team is better than the uncertainty of anyone else with the same team.

Anyone ìnterested in the opinion of ALLARDYCE???
dale.odonnell4mo ago
I'll name one. Scott McGarvey - ex United with close ties to Big Sam 👀
geldroper4mo ago
Thank god we didn't pick him .He wouild have spent millions on good players and we would be looking for another coach again
geldroper4mo ago
sorry everybody ,I meant Tuchel
stephenjholmes14mo ago
I think Tuchel with England has dodged a bullet for Man U. Carrick is a supporter of United, and will always bring passion.

From the outside looking in, a gamble.
adnan.riaz4mo ago
Worth it. The outside gamble that was Ruben Amorim bombed and Carrick has already had a better impact in less than six months.
jonny4mo ago
Anyone would have been a gamble, at least there’s some sort of evidence he can do the job
dale.odonnell4mo ago
It's Carrick, you know... A deserved two-year deal after getting us back into the Champions League. Huge season ahead and I hope the club give him sufficient backing this summer.

jonny4mo ago
Completely deserved, now Ineos need to back him.
