What is your ADVICE to Michael Carrick after a poor start to the 2026/27 season?

deansexton466d ago

stop playing players out of possession

plattysared51w ago

Get tough or get out, no place in this game for Mr Nice guy, stop being everyones mates & put them in their place!!!!

knightinwhitesatin1w ago

He needs to stop being.mister nice guy with the players and they need a bit of the Fergie hair drier treatment they don't deserve the wages United are paying them and if they keep performing like this they need bench them and put the kids in like Lacey Armer Amass Montato Ajayi etc who will play for the badge

geldroper2w ago

Stop using your sweethearts and use the best players.

seadvegar2w ago

ojarafrancis1212w ago

Drop rashford, play cunah, sesko and mbeumo the way we humble sabah. Maino plays alongside baleba or Teleisman to give pace for Bruno to attack.

jakonydan7702w ago

It's just simple Carrick is not training his players to run enough and be hard on taclkles😠 how can ur players fail to keep the ball for even just 30sec?

dancoombs2w ago

There are definite questions about the intensity of training. It’s showing up in the performances. Tielemans even admitted in preseason they hadn’t been running

barryroberts722w ago

When you say "your players" implies you don't support Utd and if that's right, what are you doing on a Utd Forum?

davenport8692w ago

Another poor team performance. At least 7 players should never be handed a shirt again

dancoombs2w ago

Which seven do you have in mind…?

destinychildprosper2w ago

I am still against the Rashford experiment. Carrick should go back to default settings. Though Amad is unavailable at the moment, he should deploy Cunha and Imbeomo wide and Sesko upfront.

stephenjholmes11w ago

No need for Amad. Lacey has been more of a threat than any of the forward line. Forget Sesko as a starting forward, he isn't man enough. He needs to gain strength and sharpness. He is only of use as a super sub.

dancoombs2w ago

I can’t wait until Amad is back!

jdotan72w ago

When we cant pass the ball accurately, play at a pedestrian pace, and leave the left and right wing opposition complete freedom, it is a miracle that we nevrr lost by a greater margin. Our total defennce was shocking. Its hard to be a loyal supporter after shuch a pathetic performance.

markmarston2w ago

I personally think he’s another Ole but that aside, he wasn’t properly backed this summer. Whilst City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea all spend hundreds of millions… United signed three midfielders for the price of Enzo Fernandez… maybe a bit more tbf but you get the point

barryroberts722w ago

Carrick was Ole's number 2 so i'm not surprised about the likeness. I thought buying Santos, Tielemans and Baleba for the amount of Enzo was good business, not 100% sure on Darlow as number 2 yet?

sammyph782w ago

Your team selection back fired your whole team was none functional last week against City the same thing happened against 10 men Dorgu and Dallot playing the same position that's poor game management

eoin2w ago

If not, then Who? Im not fully convinced by him but he has so much going for him if he could just find his shooting boots

stephenjholmes12w ago

Sesko doesn't have the strength to be used as a starting striker. He is the modern day supersub. That is when he impacts the game. He is too easily taken off the ball. He was the reason for Brightons first goal. The start of their comeback! He needs another 12 months to get stronger and more Premier League savvy.

eoin2w ago

@gijonfabio

eoin2w ago

Get sesko into form. Makes no sense to have him warning the bench. But even with that, theres so much more to do

gijonfabio2w ago

Let's be honest Sesko is not the Striker Manchester united need.

dancoombs2w ago

Keep the players positive, have a clear plan. Without that - it’s over

adnan.riaz2w ago

It’s a bit late for advice now, isn’t it? 🤔He’s the manager, not me. We should have had this all sorted before the season started. Let’s be real right now. 🤷🏾‍♂️

jonny2w ago

freddie2w ago

Board have let him down with lack of defensive reinforcements so my advice would be to go out with a bang and call them out

adnan.riaz2w ago

They backed him with an entire midfield rebuild? Carrick should be doing better with some of his other options in defence, including Harry Amass.

dale.odonnell2w ago

How did that go for Amorim? I don’t Ineos would have pulled the trigger as soon as they did if it wasn’t for his outburst at Elland Road.

vatsal2w ago

Expose Ineos on your way out. Your words will impact them much more than Amorim's rant did. You've been let down after a miraculous last season as interim and the one who follows you will be let down as well. Thanks for bringing back UCL anthem at Old Trafford.

eoin2w ago

He won't do It. Hes too non-confrontational, and to be honest, you can see that on the pitch

adnan.riaz2w ago

Very Bane-esque. 😂😅

dale.odonnell2w ago

Be ruthless, settle on a defence and system that can grind out results, and get Amad back along with Baleba.

adnan.riaz2w ago

jonny2w ago

He certainly looked to have been feeling pressure last night… There are so many problems with the team, mental, tactical and physical I just don’t see how he turns it around… One thing I do think he should do is just rip up his idea of his starting team and play Lacey, bring other youngsters through and attempt real change.

adnan.riaz2w ago

I felt for him a lot last night. It was really sad to see.

seanfisher2w ago

You have to adapt. If things aren’t working, that’s when you truly get tested. Time to prove he has what it takes to get us out of this slump or it’ll all be over very quickly

adnan.riaz2w ago

It is his biggest test right now for sure. Probably his first real sign of whether he can turn a ship around in a permanent head coach role.

dale.odonnell2w ago

Doesn’t help that we don’t have real protection in front of the back four when defending leads and seem incapable of keeping up the urgency to play keep ball in those situations. The sooner Baleba returns the better. Hate to say it but Casemiro’s presence is missed, especially the way he could sniff out attacks, even if his legs were gone.
