Carrick says Top 5 isn't enough. Honestly, based on his run, do you think we are a genuine Title Contender for next season?

In my opinion MC needs to be given a 1year contract which rolls on to a 2year contract if he improves the teams performance, this should in crease year on year depending how successful the team is up to and including 10years.

I think it has to be the target, no shame in not winning it but have to act like it’s the goal this summer and be in the conversation at least

Assuming the proposed action in the transfer market happens, absolutely. The first team is quality, but the squad is paper thin. Fix that and it's back to our rightful place.

Why for Michael Carrick, the conditions are more stringent when Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim were accommodated enormously. But Carrick has done more with less. No demands, no new recruitment and went about his tasks efficiently and without fuss. Pertinently the players are performing with more vigour and purpose and the results back it up!

1 year rolling contract..... less risk

Nowhere near Title contenders at present. Two world class midfielders needed.

He's correct in saying that it's not enough, as the standard at utd is winning titles. I think with a few well chosen additions to the squad and a bit of help from the youth team players, we should be able to challenge for the league. I believe Carrick will prove himself a very capable manager.

If we get 2 from Wharton, Anderson, Tonali or the lad at Madrid whose name I can't spell and a right back then we must have a chance of getting 82 points which should put us right there

To win the league and challenge for the champions league we need a massive influx of new players, at least 2 if not 3 midfield players fullbacks who don't give the ball away.

Depends on those who lead from behind, and their signings. But Carrick could change the tune with youth.

Our performance the second half of this season suggests yes and it’s a good sign for me that he’s thinking big! If we can bring in some good players that enhance the team then why not?!

paulperugini19555mo ago

Give him a season, see what happens.

dantowen819515mo ago

I don’t think we are too far off. Just need to get the transfers right. Cant afford a repeat of the summer of 2023, which set us back a long way

olamilekansikirulai1215mo ago

I will be happy if this form go on

I believe we will be challenging a lot better in all competitions next season. It will be interesting to see the incoming players, and I hope there will be more chances for our academy players. We should be starting the new season with Michael Carrick and his staff still in place.

This is an example of Carrick's mentality as a coach. He knows that if he gets the job, the objective is to win the Premier League. It will take a lot of hard work, but it's possible based on what we've seen since January.
