O'Neill has signed a one-year deal with the option for a further year...

Give malony the managers job

,He should have insisted on having his full team with him complete with pay rise for the job they've done before agreeing. This penny pinching and missing out on players is an annual event with Celtic and it won't change until there is major investment and a complete takeover. As long as Desmond and his cronies are in charge nothing with change.

Couldn't agree more

Absolutely no confidence in the world class board. Same old faces same mentality.hh

Poor Martin he will be used by that board as a scape goat when they mess up and sign no one and we are in crisis by November , they are the problem and the issue .

Spot on mrcorbe60 Rodgers should never have stepped back into paradise & Martin should have just taken over , bypassing Nancy . We would have won the league cup & league by about 15 points ...then we would not have too deal with all the bullshit we are going to get each week in the coming season .
martin.crawford3mo ago
At least they can't just bin him off and accuse him of being self-serving like they did with Rodgers. All eyes will be on them, no excuses

This club is going nowhere with the executives in charge. Under-performing has become the norm. How can those responsible for such a multi-year lack of progress still be in post? - progress is in Europe. It is astounding how dysfunctional our club has become. People need to recognise that they do not meet the criteria to perform their jobs and need to leave.

We dont want how much he has to spend (other teams knowing is a bad thing), but give him at least £25m or more if possible. Too much penny pinching has cost us for years.

Why give him £25m or more . The manager & coaches have the best facilities in Scotland, they need to earn their keep by improving those that they have

The doom and gloom from this site is just about unbearable now!

It’s a fine move, but the planning for his successor should be underway already!

Better than robbie kean...🇮🇪
paulkelliher883mo ago
Why just because he dared to work for an Israeli club 😱 Keep politics & terror groups out of football . It's already a bloody circus .I remember a good few years back when we boasted that we do not discriminate people of colour ,race or religion . Now we disown Irishmen thats only crime was taken a job to feed his Family . Hypocrites .

Not hard, mind!

At last, the board have done something right. Welcome home Martin.

I'm torn on it, I think the board don't want to make a long-term decision (because they don't know how to) so this gives them a way to kick a big decision down the road

Trust O'Neill. Don't trust the board.

The delay took forever but I’m happy it’s sorted. Not worried about on the pitch as O’Neill will get them over the line but this summer has to be perfect recruitment wise

He deserves it but it speaks volumes about the lack of long-term thinking at Celtic
george.patten3mo ago
My thoughts exactly. You’re going to win the league nine times out of ten as Celtic. Surely you take risks to try and actually do smth in Europe. O’Neill isn’t going to do that at his age. They’ll be back at square one in a year or two
markmarston3mo ago
Had to be done… should never have got rid of him in the first place! Board have learnt their lesson from Nancy disaster
freddie3mo ago
Great news! The club took their time tho… was looking a bit ropey at one point 😅
