Going into the international break I think it’s fair to say Lincoln have exceeded expectations. A lot of people wrote them off but there’s been some big wins against sides you’d expect Lincoln to be battling with towards the back end of the season. How would you rate the start that’s been made?
chillout14d ago
Great start - surprised most everyone. Bolton too!
markmarston14d ago
9/10 start… shocked a LOT of people. Can they maintain it is the question? My nose tells me they’ll still go down

Lincoln let a lead slip to fall to a 2-1 defeat to Swansea! Thoughts? 👀
jonathan.gorrie15d ago
Gutting but made a top team work for it. No cause for alarm!
Another incredible away win for the Imps tonight. No matter how much good Skubala did for the club, three points like that is always sweet. Watching players perform above expectations and giving fans something to be proud of. Who impressed the most? Gotta be Freddie Draper, surely?
jamie.theodosi19d ago
I had them nailed on to go down. Very surprised that they look solid. Shows how strong the league is again this year.
chillout19d ago
In the play-off - just 3 points off joint top. No-one saw this coming. Lincoln have got be the EFL surprise package of the season.
Michael Skubala returns to Sincil Bank for the first time since leaving Lincoln tonight. What sort of reaction do you think he will get?
dantowen8195119d ago
Deserves a good one! He should really be a Lincoln hero, regardless of leaving! It’s not as if he took his whole coaching staff with him and left Lincoln in the lurch
callum_boyle19d ago
He deserves a good one. Got them into a really good place, laid the foundations and their good work is continuing. Be a shame if he was booed
scottmckie9019d ago
Yeah totally agree withntou Jordan score prediction for tonight going to go for the win 2-1 to us
Little old Lincoln continue to surprise with a vital 1-0 away win against Preston 🔥 What did you make of that win?
george.patten22d ago
Big win - Lots of sides will go to Preston and get something though…
chillout22d ago
Yes, a really important win. Lincoln is no longer dead cert relegation candidates.
jordan.harris22d ago
Huge result!
Tomorrow is one of those away games I think Lincoln should be eyeing up a win from. Travelling to a side bottom of the table and really struggling, it’s a great chance to get something and create some breathing space. Equally a draw isn’t bad either. What’s your predictions?

It's a heavy defeat for Lincoln away at Bournemouth 😪 What did YOU think of the game?!
chillout25d ago
Just really a (fairly expensive) evening out for dedicated fans. Disappointing Lincoln didn’t make a better fist of it, but it means nothing in the scene of things; the focus is clearly Championship survival.
jordan.harris26d ago
A result that was expected really. Bournemouth are a great side and the focus is staying in the Championship
jonathan.gorrie26d ago
Not great to see heads drop but hard to be too dramatic given the start to the season otherwise!

A good night ahead and a chance for fans to enjoy the Bournemouth game without any pressure. The teams last played 16 years ago and they have faced each other a total of 27 times - 10 wins each, and 7 draws.
chillout26d ago
And then…….
dale.odonnell26d ago
An upset from Lincoln would be welcome 👍
dakir.thanveer26d ago
Bournemouth have Europe to focus on, expect them to play a weaker side. Definitely a freehit for Lincoln to go all guns blazing
Lincoln leave it late to grab a point against Southampton! Thoughts?
jonathan.gorrie28d ago
@scottmckie90 decent result for the Imps!
caleb.sage28d ago
Lincoln doing well after just being promoted from League One. Given where Southampton were and their name, solid point!
donaghcorby199729d ago
Solid result
Lincoln win their first Championship game in 65 years with a 1-0 win away at Bolton! Give us your reaction 👀
chillout31d ago
A steady start - everyone is writing Lincoln off, but 4 points from 4 games is decent. A point a game may be enough.
A trip to Premier League Bournemouth in the third round of the Carabao Cup for Lincoln City! Give us your reaction
dancoombs37d ago
With Bournemouth having to stretch their squad with Premier League and Europa League, there’s a chance of an upset here…

A disappointing afternoon for the Imps 😔 How would you assess their performance?

A late defeat for Lincoln City 😔 What positives are you taking from our first game back in the Championship?
dantowen8195147d ago
There was not much at all between promotion faces Boro and newly promoted Lincoln. A massive boost There doesn’t seem to be any immediate impact from Skubala’s exit either

Our Championship predictions are out! Lincoln fans, have we been too harsh? 🤔
will.butcher59d ago
Losing Skubala is a massive blow. 21st or above is a good season. Going to be tough for them
james.brooke60d ago
Doesn’t look great but they’ve been written off before. Lovely little city as well
jonny60d ago
They’re going down. Potentially even rock bottom

Frustrating transfer news coming out of Lincoln City 😬
eoin60d ago
Another one bites the dust
Some big contract news to bring you Lincoln fans! ✍️
charlesjones60d ago
Really good work to get these tied up
Lincoln City have announced the signing of centre-back Andrei Coubis... happy with that?
markmarston66d ago
Well that’s the first bit of cash spent this summer… still so much to do tbh
Lincoln City have suffered a thumping 5-1 defeat to Grimsby Town... are you concerned? 🫣
markmarston68d ago
More often than not I don’t read into pre-season. But this is a big big concern…
Here’s some interesting random stats & facts about Lincoln City:
chillout92d ago
In 2017 Lincoln City were the first non-league team in 103 years to reach a FA Cup QF. Lincoln’s original ground, John O’Gaunts, used flowing water from a local flour mill to irrigate the pitch - the first eco-friendly ground. Ex-England manager Graham Taylor launched his managerial career at Lincoln - leading the Imps to the Fourth Division title in 75/76.
Lincoln City fans will still be pinching themselves after last season’s brilliant campaign, but they will be gutted to have lost Michael Skubala. Staying in the Championship has got to be priority Number One now - is that a realistic prospect for next season ?
kyle.dimond117d ago
Id usually doubt them staying up but I don’t know, just got a feeling. Keep that momentum going from the promotion and I think they might scrape it
johnverrall11117d ago
They won’t stay up. They overpowered teams in L1 but won’t be able to be the bully boys physically in the Championship. Skubala going is also a major blow. I think they’ll be shocked by the step up in quality and ultimately go straight back down
dale.odonnell117d ago
Backs against the wall job for Lincoln next season.

Prove me wrong: Lincoln are the best-run club in the EFL 💪
vatsal118d ago
The ROI in League One says it all. 17th highest wage budget and dominated the league. More than the sum of its parts clearly and that happens when the club is run well from top to bottom
♥ 1
callum_boyle118d ago
One of the best-run clubs without a doubt. Modest wage system, no egos and some talented players. Jack Moylan really impressed for Ireland recently. I think they will surprise
jamesshearman23118d ago
Hard to argue with that!

What would be a suitable attendance for Sincil Bank?
callum_boyle118d ago
They could definitely push it to 15,000. A one-club city and no other big players really close to them geographically. Maybe give it another season to be sure
markmarston118d ago
Nope - consolidate in champ for at least five years before considering that
jamesshearman23118d ago
Would be nice to get up to 12,000 but probably isn’t worth the cost

Which away end are you most excited to be following Lincoln from?
dantowen81951118d ago
West Ham’s surely. There hasn’t been many trips to a 60k-seater over the years
Which position should be a priority for Lincoln in the summer transfer window? 🤔
dantowen81951118d ago
Charlton may be the example to follow here. Keep the core of the squad but also add some solid Champ talent and a few up and comers from League One
jamesshearman23118d ago
Honestly, about 8 if they want to stay up
How do you feel about Tom Shaw and Chris Cohen stepping up to replace Michael Skubala?
dantowen81951118d ago
Makes sense to me. Keeps a vibe of consistency
callum_boyle118d ago
Smart move. They played a huge role behind the scenes in Skubala’s coaching staff so definitely have the blueprint for success. They won’t need to change much stylistically and the pair both have contacts to get good signings. The system worked for Lincoln with the Cowley brothers and can work here too
