What is the BIGGEST reason for Lewis Hamilton's turnaround at Ferrari this year?

bobbyj552w ago

He's using his own car setup, not something based off of lecler's setup.

New regs + him having a big say in developing car means that it caters to his driving style. Once you allow that, he’ll Winn for you

The Goat is back. Ferrari have listen to what Lewis wanted and given him a great race engineer he can work with. Don’t change race engineers now. Lewis is happy and with a car that’s improving every race Lewis Hamilton will be on the Top podium again. It’s great seeing Lewis Hamilton at his best again.

His ideas and pure talent of how a car should be driven. His input into this year's car just goes to show you. A man of many talents. That's why he is the GOAT #️⃣4️⃣4️⃣🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Limiting the use of the simulator has been huge for him. Hamilton says no to the computer - love it! He’s getting more from the track time with his instinctive style

It seems like he has all the components he needs around him and it shows Forza Ferrari

david.comerford3mo ago

Agreed, that new engineering team have clearly worked wonders so far

Hamilton is very vocal about what he wants with his car, and is also incredibly specific about every element and part in his car. It has taken some time, but he finally has a car he can win races with, even if some issues still need to be addressed.

Becoming Mr Kardashian, changing race engineer, new regs suiting him. Combination of all three. He remembered who he is!!

aaditya.krishnamurthy3mo ago

He remembered who he is is the best way to put it, and he's hungry again.

There must be plenty of factors, but I think Hamilton having legitimate input in Ferrari's car development has to help. His first year with Mercedes wasn't as desperate as his first with Ferrari, but we didn't really see him shine until the introduction of the new regs in 2014. I think we're definitely seeing something similar here!

Keep Hamilton happy and he will deliver. Even if it means designating power to him in ways that other drivers will never experience, it has to be done

josh13mo ago

An era of car that's a bit more focused around car control. We've seen more oversteer and snappiness in this new car and it suits him

david.comerford3mo ago

This is what Sainz was saying - the rule changes saved him. Although, Hamilton was still elite in 2023, so I don't think it was entirely black and white

Kim Kardashian 😁

Fool

Agree it plays a part. I made a similar comment elsewhere on here. At the moment car/team/relationship are in a good place for him.

tyler.rowlinson3mo ago

The fact that Ferrari have started listening to him. They've realised the expertise that he can offer, and they're reaping the benefits of his feedback now. Ferrari have needed a mentality change for years, and Hamilton is making that change

david.comerford3mo ago

I would say it's his input into car development. It was a point he kept making last year, and it's something Vasseur has mentioned this season. The handling characteristics are much closer to what he likes now
