Should Ferrari expect Lewis Hamilton to be closer to Charles Leclerc by now?

He's better than lecler right now, one if the reasons lecler races Hamilton the way that he does, not to mention the fact that he signed a multi year extension but doesn't have anything to justify it.

John Elkann thought Lewis Hamilton would be magic in the Ferrari. Not working out so far. If Hamilton finally decides to retire from F1. Ferrari can bring Ollie Bearman to the team. I like that possibility.

There was never a chance he could beat charles... like come on guys he couldn't even beat george by the end at merc. 5th to 7th best on the grid is exactly where he belongs.

I think they have been relatively close this season! Hamilton’s a little further back still but he’s not massively behind like last year!

I think people are forgetting how good Lewis looked in the first two races. Yes he's dropped off since then, but to say he's not on the level of Leclerc when he's managed to push and even get the better of him is quite ridiculous.

Lewis Hamilton was always likely to struggle to challenge Charles Leclerc in 2025 given it was his first season with Ferrari. But the Scuderia would have hoped to see Hamilton putting up more of a challenge to Leclerc, particularly in qualifying, this season.
