Ghana played well and defended well. We pushed and were a Harry Kane chance he scores 9/10 away from winning. These games happen, look at Spain.

Let’s not pretend we’re the only giant who has had a game like this… ultimately Ghana set out to defend and hold on, and they deserve credit. That being said, England do need to find another gear for games like this, otherwise they aren’t winning it

True - but after 2 games we are starting to see a pattern; Germany, USA, France, Argentina, Portugal, Norway - all finishing off opponents. Spain, Brazil and Morocco all looking better than England, too at this stage. Netherlands and Egypt probably too.

Was a bit of a letdown that. No need to overreact though. We were good against a team that presses like Croatia. The teams we need to beat are going to play more like them than Ghana (in most cases)

I’m sure the reaction will be negativity but how many times have England done this in the second game of a group stage and then gone deep in the tournament. Disappointing for them but almost every big favourite has had a game like this so there’s not too much to worry about
