Our Championship predictions are out! Thoughts on where we've got Charlton finishing? 🔴
jonathan.gorrie2mo ago
Just about stay up and hopefully beat Saints to wind the fans up 🤣

Will have an OK season, not expecting much tho. About 14th I reckon
kyle.dimond2mo ago
I wouldn’t think they’re in trouble but the concern is how long they’re stagnant for while other clubs progress during a potential sale.

Championship is always impossible to predict but I'm betting Charlton to finish WAY higher than the prediction here. I personally rate Nathan Jones as a top Championship manager
jonny2mo ago
He’s a decent manager for that level, can see Charlton surviving but he needs some backing!

Nathan Jones splits opinion, but he knows what he’s doing at this level. Not expecting anything special from Charlton, but think they will be safe from relegation.

NJ has proven to be a shrewd operator at this level so who knows, but I personally can’t see them making any sort of play-off push

The behind the scenes stuff could trickle onto the pitch, can't say I'm mad with the prediction. Just not at the level of the top teams

May be harsh but if I was a fan of any club Nathan Jones managed, I’d be extremely concerned

As a Charlton fan, I really don’t know. We’ve strengthened the defence and the wings, but we are seriously lacking quality in the midfield and our strikers don’t strike confidence in me that they’ll hit double figures, which is what we need. Nathan Jones will make us tough to beat, but I think we’re in for another fight at the bottom. We’ll be safe though
callum_boyle2mo ago
They’ll be fine. Nathan Jones’ persona is the sort you want. They’ll stay up and rattle many clubs
charlesjones2mo ago
They won’t be up to much this season. Lower mid table at best
martin.crawford2mo ago
Good things rarely happen to clubs when they’re up for sale, can’t see them making any real inroads without new investment. Jones is a good manager but the current squad is rough on paper
josh.barker2mo ago
Just don’t think the backing is there to compete with the teams at the very top end right now, manager quality can help but the top of the championship is stacked atm

The only thing Nathan Jones cares about is Nathan Jones. He'll never change.

Harsh.

It will be another tough season, and Charlton is in consolidation mode. Jones has got a lot of experience and seems to get a lot out of players (especially did at Luton). There are rumours the club has been put up for sale and these things can sometimes impact performance on the pitch. Touch and go in terms of relegation, but Jones may be the deciding factor

So much depends on whether this strikeforce fires - Kelman and Leaburn have so much quality but need to deliver this season
callum_boyle2mo ago
Kelman was bang average for them last season. Leaburn is good but don’t rate the other

Nathan Jones is very solid champ manager. You know what you’ll get from him. Needs more backing tho
