← Carlos Alcaraz

Do you believe Carlos Alcaraz is already the greatest tennis player of all time?

shannonmorla2mo ago

He is won all 4 grand slam surfaces! This sets him apart from the rest of the field along with his signature unpredictable all court game. A GOAT in the making for sure!!!

rgcoburn15mo ago

It's too soon to make this kind of assessment. Carlos is certainly right up there with the best players abd he has a bright future. Let's see how he develops.

kganesh266mo ago

Absolutely. His playing style is awesome and entertaining. He always rises to the occasion and has nerves of steel. Considering what he has achieved so far in his young career one can safely predict that he will be the GOAT!

rockyoda7mo ago

I don't. There are so many other players coming up that are yet to prove themselves. Sinner is not going away and I believe sinner will be back to number one. I feel like Alcaraz is headed for crash. Just a feeling.

feliciano.lim577mo ago

He's making Tennis exciting to watch, playing it like a Pingpong game. The others are predictable

darbhamr7mo ago

Not yet. At his age he is definitely the greatest, but to he designated the greatest of all times, he needs to continue this dominance for many more years. That unwavering determination and grit will be tested and he needs to come out on top

annswanson19287mo ago

Amazing tennis player, but too early to predict !

mzaffar61748mo ago

He has already achieved what others dreamed or have achieved like Fed, Nadal etc However now rests to see when he turns 30 what New would be achieved because in my eyes nothing left to conquer even Olympic Gold 🥇 missing but Silver 🥈 is already there.... However only left to see what Destiny has written for Carlos & can he perform according to the scrip

harrychalcroft8mo ago

Fred Perry 8 Laver 11 Connors 8 Borg 11 Fed 20 Nole 24 just possible 25. It can't keep going longer. It is similar in F1. The old guys didn't realise they would be compared with future hot shots. Let Carlos and Yannik enjoy the moment they are the best of the now. It is good to get new blood

jonathan.gorrie8mo ago

No - but there's a strong chance he will become it

george.patten8mo ago

Definitely not - Has the potential to become the G.O.A.T. though

vrshekar20028mo ago

It is too early to predict. As of now he has proved by becoming the youngest Career slam champion.

suvavedan8mo ago

From 2001 to 2010, Federer 16, Nadal 7 and Djoko just 1 GS. From 2011 onwards, Federer just 4, Nadal 15 and Djoko 23 GS. This means only 2 players were dominant across different decades and never 3. Then why apply rule of 3 dominant players when it comes to Alcaraz?

kenheath20016mo ago

2011 to 2020 is another decade not to 2025 as you put Djokovic on 23 GS's. Let us see their tally by the end of December 2020.

jamesshearman238mo ago

There's a good chance he will be but he's nowwhere near the big 3 yet

aadityak248mo ago

He’s well on his way but one of the key tenets of any GOAT case is longevity. If he can sustain this excellence for years to come, I don’t see why he won’t be the GOAT

jamesshearman238mo ago

How many slams do you think he ends up with?

pjgal20238mo ago

Carlos got to the top with his win in the AO. I predict that unless he’s injured, he will be there on top for a long time! So us just how many matches and open grand slams you can bring home in the next ten or so years!

peter.lynch8mo ago

Yeah exactly, it's a scary thought how many he can reach if injury-free!

shripathikamath8mo ago

No.

jeffreyalew8mo ago

He had a 4-set match against a 38 year old player. Let's see in 16 years if he's still at this level.

gunnergetu8mo ago

I believe this is the dumbest tennis question of all time. Kid has only won 7 slams!

peter.lynch8mo ago

Aged 22!!

rgenevieve998mo ago

He is strong and young and a fighter, I think he has it

juanitacraig7028mo ago

He can become one of the greatest he is certainly on his way if he his focused and disciplined on his matches. He is on great striking rate he must just keep this pace. You never know what an extraordinary young guy, love to watch him play. Currently my best male tennis player.

annswanson19288mo ago

He is amazing

peter.lynch8mo ago

So good to watch!

jesterlyy8mo ago

Ask me this question again in 15 years.

sauravghosh20058mo ago

Not yet, but surely he is in line to be. He has already achieved so much in an incredibly short period of time. I just hope his body holds up for the next 10-12 years, and we could see him getting to 25 or more. At this point of time, its definitely possible.

camerondesc18mo ago

He's on track to be the GOAT I would say. I think if he was in the big three era he would have won more Slams than Novak, Rafa and Roger.

kilham.max8mo ago

No way currently - still has half the Slams of Sampras! There is a difference between 'best' and 'greatest'

liam.mcmillen8mo ago

He's been incredible, but he can't be considered the greatest until he showcases the ability for over a decade. It could all still fall apart at this point...

peter.lynch8mo ago

Nope! Novak has that title, and he won't be beaten IMO!

matthew.johns8mo ago

No, I think it's far too early to say that and it would be disrespectful to the big three, etc. However, it definitely could be argued that he is the greatest young talent that the ATP Tour has ever seen!

johnverrall118mo ago

Not just yet. But he most certainly has the potential to be. If he's to catch Novak though, he's still a LONG way off!

callum.davies8mo ago

I mean, greatest youngster, 100%. Greatest player, I think he definitely will be by the time he retires. He'll get past Djokovic's 24 Grand Slams with ease the rate he's going
