Can Carlos Alcaraz win MORE Grand Slams than Novak Djokovic? πŸ€”

quanp032w ago

Yes, he can; however, in my opinion, Sinner will accumulate more Grand Slam titles throughout his career.

kontiki20092w ago

No chance. He will burnout, that's why.

jfgg07912w ago

Eventually he will whether all the haters like it or not.

kenheath20012w ago

No Male Tennis Player will EVER surpass Djokovic's overall tennis records πŸ‘ŠπŸΎ. That is the true definition of Impossibility.

cindy.smith.jhb6mo ago

No

cjasmith20006mo ago

No way, very unlikely

nsv10376mo ago

Yes-barring significant injuries

harishdhamot136mo ago

Age is not on his side despite the fact he is mentally strong. But this game needs physical strength as well. Against Alcaraz and Sinner, he seems vulnerable. Anyway good luck to hm.

jackau20027mo ago

Mathematically Yes alcaraz potentially can surpase nole.s incredible record . Realistically though maintaining his level of fitness and mental health during the next 10 yrs ia where the uncertainty is...

brendanjhardy7mo ago

Most definitely. At the moment, only Sinner is equal favourite when they play the same tournaments!! Djokovic had to contend with more than a couple of players who could win them and did. Fed and Nadal of course, but also Murray, Wawrinka and Del Potro when he was fit!! The other players right now just don't seem to have it. Also, barring injury of course.

rajnibajracharya7mo ago

Carlos is in own league...he is creating his own history...he has already made so many "first time" records.. Win or loss he is pure magic to watch on court...just enjoy him playing...Only worry about one thing...hope he doesn't lose passion for the sport like Borg and quit playing....

dottmandottcom6mo ago

Losing interest is not of importance. Sports is bigger than any one player. New players would come up. Once, Serena ruled the lady's game, new talents have since come up.There are enough talents in the men's division to take Carlos's spot if he chose golf over tennis.Tennis will still be alright. They need to worry about the marathon schedule, not 1 player.

kurt1nine758mo ago

The way Djokovic dismantled Alcaraz in the first set is a taste of prime Novak. People are over hyping Alcaraz and Sinner. Does Alcaraz even have a girlfriend yet let alone a wife and kids. Many things are still to happen in the lives of these two young guns. Just great to see tennis is alive and well.

maury1414v8mo ago

Carlos was intentionally conserving mental and physical energy and feeling out his opponent in the 1st set as he likes to do in 5s against an old opponent. He plays chess not checkers hence the reason hes the most accomplished at his age . Musetti clobbered both of them how he played 1st set and look where it got him dummy. People are so arrogant ans bl

joshcaron7258mo ago

They are overhyped & neither will come close to passing Novak.Djokovic's grand slam record or any of his records for that matter

30031958nowshu8mo ago

Not possible

jamesbrown13528mo ago

No because Sinner will have a say in that and someone else always comes along

simonandrewworsnup8mo ago

ALCARAZ & SINNER WILL RULE TENNIS. SINNER IS MY FAVOURITE.

usnavy00817mo ago

I personally like carlos better but for Sinner. Well his play dipped since his coach retired. Maybe if Sinner can find a better coach than his current coach. Like Sinner was just relentless last y in 2025 now its still good but not on that same level thst sinner had.

joshcaron7258mo ago

Never The big 3 era far better & more entertaining.

jesterlyy8mo ago

Yes, assuming there's only a Big 2 and not a Big 3 or 4.

kakumar20058mo ago

While there is no denying Carlos along with Sinner are the most gifted players of the current generation, it would be unwise to think that they can emulate Djokovic, Nadal or Federer. Carlos is currently 7 slams won out of 20 odd competed. He may need another 10 years and with Sinner around it may take bit longer. Can he keep his competitiveness that long?

usnavy00817mo ago

I sure like carlos alot, i sure wish an american can sneak a couple grand slam titles but looks like carlos and Sinner will take them all at least for now. I think carlos easily surpasses pete Sampras in grand slam titles but not sure after that. I need to see more tennis. Well Nadal was sure badass but his injury history of his career got in the way.

kontiki20098mo ago

No way since he has a high probability of getting injured sooner, than later. He needs to stop chasing after impossible returns to maintain longevity.

daviescallum428mo ago

He has to win at least 2 a year for the next 8 years. With only Sinner to challenge him, I think he could do it even before he's 30

fedjatrampic8mo ago

I think its a reasonable expectation. If he stays fit and motivated he will do something special.

lullajeet28mo ago

Carlos has capability and time in his favour . I am sure he will surpass Novak in next 10 years easily . But then it depends on if what the new generation players will be like and the how fit carlos is. But don't rule out Novak yet he is still fit enough to play next 2-3 years

suvavedan8mo ago

At 22 Djoko had just one grand slam title and Carlos seven. So, Carlos is the better player at 22. The Million dollar question is, will Carlos play till at least 35, if not 38? If he does, he stands a good chance of beating Djoko's numbers if he maintains his quality which Djoko does even at 38!

liam.mcmillen8mo ago

I can't see him playing past 32 tbh!

hazel8mo ago

Carlos is an amazing talent! As long as he remains fit and well imo he will definitely achieve it.

jeffreyalew8mo ago

It's possible, but unlikely with his playing style. Once the movement is reduced the playing field will be leveled.

liam.mcmillen8mo ago

Agreed, I think that's the big question mark for him. He'll have to adapt his game later on and anything can happen at that point

george.patten8mo ago

No... But think he'll get close

nevilleebanks8mo ago

I think he can, but obviously it depends on so many things. Him keeping or improving his level, his motivation, the firm of Sinner and other players, there will be other great players we do not know of yet who will emerge, his fitness/health and other factors.

johnverrall118mo ago

Agreed. If nobody else comes through in the next four or five years then he could well get very close very quickly. But it's a very hard one to predict!

liam.mcmillen8mo ago

I think he will do it quite easily to be honest. It's ridiculous to have six Grand Slams at 22!

kilham.max8mo ago

I genuinely think he can without a third challenger...
