The manager is much loved by the fans after last season, and there’s excitement about the squad’s emerging talent. Although there is clearly a big gulf between League One and The Championship, fans are generally confident Cardiff can finish 26/27 in relative mid-table comfort if they can hang on to their manager and key players. Are fans being realistic ?

Warranted optimism I’d say. Got a lot of factors you need to make that jump and stay there.

The optimism is understandable. Cardiff have a very good coach and some exciting young talent. If they can keep hold of the likes of Dylan Lawlor and Rubin Colwill and maintain that positive atmosphere, it’s certainly not unrealistic, despite the jump up

Fancy Cardiff to stay up ⬆️

Should stay up. Just. But then so should Leicester last season. Need to get the recruitment right

Cardiff are the team who have come up who I’m most confident in to stay up. They’ve been in the champ before and know how to navigate it and now they’re in a better financial situation

If they keep BBM, the they’ll have a good shot at staying up comfortably. The attendances mean they can spend significantly more than most League One clubs coming up. I think they can pitch an exciting project to potential targets given the feel good factor around the clubs. Cardiff is a nice location too

Mid-table is realistic, anywhere between 10th and 18th feels possible and a decent first season back in the champ

Can agree with that. Don’t see them going back down
