Cian Ashford is Cardiff's most valuable asset with a value of around £4m, according to the CIES Football Observatory. How much do you think he's worth? 💰
dantowen819513d ago
Tom Fellows’ move to Southampton for £8m feels like a good benchmark!

Cardiff could soon have a new full international! Perry Ng has been granted Singapore citizenship as he looks to earn his first cap for the Lions. Thoughts?
george.patten5d ago
Any footballers lifelong dream that. To play for Singapore…

What changes would you like to see Brian Barry-Murphy make after the international break?
caleb.sage5d ago
Not much after the Charlton win, but Salech’s performances were a bit of a concern prior to that. Something to watch out for.
First international break. Thoughts on the season so far? Obviously not ideal, but a bit of positivity to take away from the weekend.
dantowen8195113d ago
He’s found a system that works! I think Arbeloa needed a tough start to learn some home truths, fair play to him if he’s adapting

A big win for Cardiff heading into the international break! What did you make of the 3-1 victory over Charlton?
dantowen8195113d ago
Much deserved! They’ve actually been playing ok and creating plenty of chances - about time they learn how to take them!
What do you make of Joel Colwill's assessment of Cardiff this season? 🤔
jamie.theodosi17d ago
To be fair, I watched them against Wrexham and they were by far the better team. I just don’t think they have enough proven solidness in their team to stay up. Especially when they just can’t seem to win at home.
markmarston17d ago
It’s a young group that will get stronger and better throughout the season… no need to be concerned at this stage
Cian Ashford and Joel Colwill make Craig Bellamy's Wales squad. What are your thoughts? 💪 🏴
jamie.theodosi19d ago
Unfortunate for Rubin that he’s injured as I actually think he’s the better Colwill brother.
jameslloyd14.jl19d ago
Well deserved, Ashford has looked much better in the #10 role this season. Shame Rubin’s injured cos I’m sure he’d be in too, although this is Bellamy we’re talking about…

OK, how do Cardiff start converting these chances into actual goals? 🤦♂️

We're now winless in seven in the Championship after losing late on to Bolton. Who do you blame for Cardiff's poor start to the season?
caleb.sage20d ago
Not converting enough chances, that lies with the players, unfortunately.

Cardiff lose it late away at Bolton! 😤 Thoughts?!
jonathan.gorrie22d ago
A lot of fans angry with Tanner! Really need to start finishing chances

What can Joel Colwill achieve this season with a run of games?
He impressed in his first Championship start against Stoke City 👌
jameslloyd14.jl25d ago
Been brilliant this season and makes a good pairing with Robertson. Should always be starting over Turnball from here on in and if he does, no reason he can’t be in Craig Bellamy’s thinking for Wales

After failing to beat Stoke City on Tuesday night, what is Cardiff's biggest issue right now?
That was such a poor goal to concede to Ben Johnson 🤦♂️
caleb.sage25d ago
Shipping about two goals a game. Difficult to win if you need to score three every week!
george.patten26d ago
Low quality all around and a pretty poor bench. Think they will be ok though

leeclarke050826d ago
Too many players who aren't quite Champ standard. It has potential to click though, they've just got to adapt quickly.
♥ 1

Cardiff fail to beat Stoke City at home... are you becoming concerned? 🤔
caleb.sage26d ago
Played well but what a poor goal to concede man!
george.patten26d ago
I wouldn’t be if I was a Cardiff fan. They were the better team for most of the game and would win that on another day. Think the wins will come if you give the manager time

Cardiff fans, how can Brian Barry-Murphy get the best out of Yousef Salech?
The Dane has really struggled of late
caleb.sage27d ago
Hmm… almost so much a manager can do. Let’s see what happens against Stoke later.

Cardiff are still winless in the Championship this season. What does Brian Barry-Murphy need to change to grab us our first victory?
Stoke City up next!
leeclarke050828d ago
Will take a bit of time but they've definitely had some positive performances lately.
markmarston28d ago
BBM will get them going… young team who will grow into it
What are your thoughts on Krystian Bielik's altercation with a Portsmouth fan?
Here's what manager Brian Barry-Murphy has had to say...
chillout29d ago
You just don’t know what prompted the reaction - although the response isn’t a good look. I think Bielik was already on a yellow, and the ref didn’t send him off - that was probably the right course of action. Regardless of any provocation, Bielik could now face a lengthy ban though . Players have to keep their cool at all times.

caleb.sage29d ago
It wasn’t exactly a throttle, but he has grabbed the young lad’s neck. You can’t do that! A lengthy ban is on its way.
Cardiff are beaten by Portsmouth 2-0. Thoughts?

No joy for Cardiff at Loftus Road - what was different about that performance?

Krystian Bielek joins Cardiff from West Brom! What do you make of this signing?
dantowen8195139d ago
Experience and versatility. Hopefully he can stay fit. Brings plenty of Champ nous
Cardiff are OUT of the Carabao Cup... what did you make of that performance? 😕
freddie40d ago
Left it too late with that goal, just poor all round really
A point at the death in the derby for Cardiff! What is your reaction to that result? 👀
dantowen8195147d ago
Colwill really is capable of anything when he’s on form 😂
leeclarke050848d ago
Short on quality all night but what a finish at the end. Will have to take it.
Cardiff City fans, are you as confident as this supporter ahead of the new season? 🤞
markmarston55d ago
Yep… can see that tbf. BBM is a top gaffer and there’s a lot of growth in their side. Good young players. Needs a few more through the door tho
Hear from Cardiff City's newest signing Jack Moylan 🎙️

Our Championship predictions are here! Happy with where we've got Cardiff? 👀
dantowen8195160d ago
Moylan is a really good bit of business. The big thing is that they’ve kept the manager and their key players - although I suspect Lawlor might still go
kyle.dimond60d ago
Seems about right. You never want to look too far ahead after being promoted but the season after will be so important due to whether the manager stays
vatsal60d ago
Consistency and solidity are the themes for them. They might start slow but need to keep faith. I see them staying in the league, and then using that to improve next season. They will survive comfortably. BBM's future is one to watch if they do.
Cardiff City are closing in on their second signing of the summer 🐦

Breaking news Cardiff fans.. our manager Brian Barry-Murphy has signed a new deal ✍️
jameslloyd14.jl67d ago
Huge news, I haven’t seen this fanbase so united about a manager in yearrrrrs. Hopefully the signings follow now
dantowen8195167d ago
Really good news - because of BBM’s style of football, his past with Man City and his record with young players, it’s inevitable clubs higher up the pyramid will be watching very closely A new deal gives Cardiff a bit of security And maybe an early advantage over Lincoln after they lost Skubala…

george.patten67d ago
Solid move - couldn’t afford to lose him
Huge statement of intent from Cardiff as they launch a £7.8m bid for Jens Hjertø-Dahl!
james.brooke74d ago
Anyone who says they know who he is is straight up lying. Big fee but what a gamble
markmarston74d ago
Did not see Cardiff spending this sort of dosh… it’s hugely encouraging. If they get it done, perhaps it’ll entice other targets to follow suit. I think they could challenge at the top half of the table rather than looking over their shoulders.
Here’s some interesting random stats & facts about Cardiff City:
chillout92d ago
Cardiff City are the only non-English side to win the FA Cup - beating Arsenal 1-0 in the final in 1927. Cardiff famously beat Real Madrid 1-0 in 1971 in the first leg of a QF of the European Cup Winners’ Cup - in front of 50,000 fans at Ninian Park. Unfortunately Real won the return leg 2-0 and advanced to the semis.
The manager is much loved by the fans after last season, and there’s excitement about the squad’s emerging talent. Although there is clearly a big gulf between League One and The Championship, fans are generally confident Cardiff can finish 26/27 in relative mid-table comfort if they can hang on to their manager and key players. Are fans being realistic ?
kyle.dimond117d ago
Warranted optimism I’d say. Got a lot of factors you need to make that jump and stay there.
jameslloyd14.jl117d ago
The optimism is understandable. Cardiff have a very good coach and some exciting young talent. If they can keep hold of the likes of Dylan Lawlor and Rubin Colwill and maintain that positive atmosphere, it’s certainly not unrealistic, despite the jump up
dale.odonnell117d ago
Fancy Cardiff to stay up ⬆️
What must Cardiff do to ensure Brian Barry-Murphy remains at the club in the long-term?
james.brooke117d ago
Interesting he’s come from City, obviously had a really good coaching education. Wouldnt be surprised to see him in the Prem at some stage. Not yet though, no need to leave Cardiff for now
callum_boyle117d ago
Continue to back him. Burnley and co will be sniffing around him no doubt so make sure he has the tools in place
dantowen81951118d ago
Make him think there’s room to grow at Cardiff, and survival isn’t the only ambition
Who was the better striker for Cardiff? 🤔
james.brooke117d ago
Bothroyd said we better no question. Terrible pundit mind you
callum_boyle117d ago
Bothroyd gave me nightmares when they played Leicester although Chopra loved a goal against us
dantowen81951118d ago
Bothroyd for me. Not many champ players get an England cap
Have Cardiff underachieved given the size of the city and the club's fanbase? 👀
dantowen81951118d ago
Possibly, but you could say that about so many clubs at this level. Cardiff are a classic victim of ‘the fish rots from the head’ though
Cardiff vs Swansea is the best derby in the EFL
callum_boyle117d ago
Millwall vs West Ham, Villa vs Blues, West Brom vs Wolves and West Ham vs Millwall all edge it but this is a belter tbf
dantowen81951118d ago
It’s certainly more entertaining than Portsmouth v Southampton 😂although I think Millwall v West Ham may edge this one…
What is the next step for Cardiff after last season's promotion? 🤔
