Cadillac is doing an operating exactly like I expected a brand new team built from the ground up some of the teams that's been doing it for a long time has been having problems right along with them they are supposed to be at the back of the grid that's their own car using somebody else's engine now if they would have got a Ferrari with a Ferrari engine

Cadillac still hasn't managed to score a point in 2026 😩 How long before they get their first top 10?

Hopefully, after the 2027 summer break they can get a point!

I think it will be in 2026. Not until they get the upgraded ICE from Ferrari though. But it will happen before the race in Mexico City. I'm thinking COTA if not in Baku first.

Did you expect more from Cadillac this year?
czechfog183668d ago
No. I actually expected less. Brand new team!

Not really? in fact I think they've done better than I would have expected them to, given how long it takes any team after entering Formula 1.

Given the majority of their car is outsourced, I don't think it's any surprise that they are languishing at the back of the grid. Still, Bottas' performances have been very disappointing after five rounds of racing.

Should Cadillac give Colton Herta a shot next year?
czechfog183620d ago
I see no reason to sign Herta to anything. Ugo should get the support that Herta has gotten. I say that even though Ugo won the F3 title by being in his second season and racing for Campos, one of the best teams in both F3 and F2. For his F2 career, Ugo needs to stick with Campos unless he can get a seat at Invicta. But the 2027 F2 cars will be new!

No!! But if TWG persists in demanding that employees in the UK must move to Indiana to keep their job they are likely to fall down flat. Right now, GM is trying to develop a power unit that will be junk within one or two years. That is foolish.

It's going to take a lot of upgrades for that car to get better it's going to be a back of the grid for some time that car is more about the car than the driver at this point

Cadillac honours Mario Andretti with first chassis name
Which F1 icon would you name a car after?

McLaren already have the Senna but it would be nice to see them pay tribute with the chasis somehow!

Cadillac Formula 1 team has arrived with their maiden livery for 2026 🔥
What’s your first reaction? 👇
robi.buckley213d ago
That is a beautiful machine!! 😍 😍
tyler.rowlinson238d ago
I don't know about you, but I'm getting late 1990s/early 2000s McLaren vibes with the black and silver. I really like that!
rebecca.braybrook238d ago
I'm slightly disappointed that it's not more exciting! But I'm looking forward to seeing what the split livery looks like on track!

What do you think of Cadillac's 2026 shakedown livery?
czechfog1836259d ago
Nothing to see. Which is appropriate for a first shakedown.
george.patten263d ago
Hope the real one looks a bit more exciting!
jordan.harris263d ago
bit uninspiring

Valtteri Bottas will score more points than Sergio Perez for Cadillac in 2026 - Change our minds
czechfog1836259d ago
I hope so, but both should do a good job for Cadillac. This is much better than a new team starting off with two drivers that have zero experience.
george.patten263d ago
I think Perez outscores him... Feel like he has more to prove than Bottas this year
speedandbrakes264d ago
I think it's important for a new team in f1 to get drivers who have the skills and understanding of setting up a good foundation for a car first year in f1.

Where will Cadillac finish in the 2026 championship?
czechfog183668d ago
Dead last.
ervinforeman01259d ago
You heard it hear............First...!
czechfog1836259d ago
Most likely last. All new team, never built a F1 car before. I expect lots of reliability issues.
