Should Cadillac give Colton Herta a shot next year?

I see no reason to sign Herta to anything. Ugo should get the support that Herta has gotten. I say that even though Ugo won the F3 title by being in his second season and racing for Campos, one of the best teams in both F3 and F2. For his F2 career, Ugo needs to stick with Campos unless he can get a seat at Invicta. But the 2027 F2 cars will be new!

No!! But if TWG persists in demanding that employees in the UK must move to Indiana to keep their job they are likely to fall down flat. Right now, GM is trying to develop a power unit that will be junk within one or two years. That is foolish.

It's going to take a lot of upgrades for that car to get better it's going to be a back of the grid for some time that car is more about the car than the driver at this point

I see nothing from Herta in F2 that tells me he should be in F1.

He's kinda stinking up the joint in F2 so far. Cadillac should stick with experienced F1 drivers until they have a car that can routinely get out of Q1, at minimum. They made a good choice with Checo and Bottas.

Perez washed out of Redbull and had no drive last year. If he wants to stay in F1, he doesn't really have many options as far as I can see. The car is getting better performance wise so if I were him, I would count my blessings for getting another shot at racing.

If Bottas carries on the way he's going, bringing Herta in could be a no brainer. He may not be making waves in F2, but I think his performances in IndyCar had already provided him with at least an opportunity in F1.

It feels like it's inevitable that Herta gets a seat in F1. He just has to deliver the results in F2 this year

Bottas and Perez are invaluable in year one but you need to start looking to the future eventually
