It is difficult to see a downside to this signing. Obviously he’s not quite the player he once was, but even with a current injury, he’s still going to bring plenty to Villa

The UCL group runs until almost Feb now, so it shouldn’t be a problem really. Frustrating but I do think he’ll end up being a pretty good signing. Generally has been quite robust fitness wise so hopefully just a short term issue and that’ll be it

The fact that he is part of the UCL squad and is out until after the break that annoys me. Not the fact that he is injured. Others could and should have been selected.
