Should the FIA allow Aston Martin to race in these conditions?

Does the 107% rule kick in with AM.

There has to be a limit here and I agree with Gary Anderson that the FIA should find out what is going on. If a mechanic leaves a shop rag in the cockpit and the driver has to throw it out of the car, the team gets penalized. Is this car unsafe to drive? That has to be answered in a professional manner. Do not trust Aston Martin or Honda. Research the issue.

NO. If a cop saw you driving at 50kph with no hands on the wheel on a normal road, you would be punished. Driving an F1 car with no hands on the wheel at over 300kph is a huge danger to all drivers on track. FIA should ban Aston until their car is safe to drive.

You cant really co.pare highway traffic rules to F1! Firstly regular traffic laws are aimed at the average and below drivers. Those drivers arent aware, have little spacial awareness and are usually distracted. So taking your hands of the wheel, using a phone etc, causes accidents. F1 drivers are extremely focused, and have great awareness ....

I totally see your point, but Aston Martin will argue that they need to be on the track to collect more data so they can fix the issue. It's a tough situation.
